My birthday

For the past three decades and more, I have observed that this special day, when the spotlight shines on the birthday person: that's me and Justin Timbelake! We have the same birthday. folks! I used to feel self conscious about all this attention, and now I’ve learned to enjoy it, I am looking forward to it.

I make it a point that i'll have a birthday cake every year. Infact, i have already ordered a birthday cake from Goldilocks.It's gonna be a 12" round fruity mocha plus all pink sugar flower candies...the colourful happy birrthday candles will be store bought from Toy KIngdom in SM Fairview.

When I'll wake up in the morning later, my first thoughts are about thanking our dear Lord for good health, long life and world peace. With strong Catholic backgrounds, I wouldnt miss hearing mass.

The day will become festive with flowers and gifts and visits from family, friends and colleagues. There are cards galore - half of them now arriving as electronic messages and from facebook and other social networking accounts.

No matter how many new friends or new experiences I have, on birthdays, it all comes back to my being grateful...

I gotta sleep first and awaken later...Good night everyone!!!

Everyone likes to feel specially on their birthday. Yesterday was the birthday of our identical twins. They were born June 27, 1970, and we cebrated several times. We celebrated early because one of the twins was going with her mother-in-law and my wife to a spinner's, knitter's weekend fun time. The other twin celebrated with her husband's family when they came, and we did a little celebrating afterwards when it really was their birthday.

I had a granddaughter born on my birthday, so most of the years since she has been a big kid we have celebrated together, and that has been fun. She is out of high school, and moved out of her parents' house, so that is sad in a way, but these kids have to leave sometime; I know I did.

I remember my 26th birth day, I was in Manila waiting for my appointment. It was the very sad birthday of mine because No one is there for me-not even my aunt and other relatives because they do not know that it was my birthday. I pray to the Lord that He will grant me to have a permanent job. Even I did not have any food to prepare but He answered my prayer and grant it. Thank you. Lord.

That is sad that no one knew it was your birthday to celebrate with/for you!

My 16th birthday was very important because I went down to get my driver's license. I had been driving for years and didn't need driver's education. It wasn't required then. I went to get my license, ran a stop sign, had to return the following week to retake it, and passed that time, as I knew to watch for that stop sign the next time.

My 18th birthday was important because I graduated from high school them.

Some people consider their 21st birthday as being very important as they can legally drink alcohol then, but I have never done any drinking, so that was not important to me. I have enjoyed all my birthdays, and many of them have been celebrated, some more than others, but all the rest of them are just years that have past. I liked my 65th birthday also, because then I started drawing social security, and also got on Medicare. I didn't have to get on Medicare, and I almost decided not to, but I am very happy that I did. The medical problem I just went through the same as Michael cost almost $1300.00, and Medicare paid all but $130.00, so I am very thankful for that. It is much easier to pay $115.00 each month for the coverage than to have to try to dig up the $1300.00 or more to take care of a medical bill.
