Music and Church

Do you know what the Blackwood Brothers, Elvis Presley, and Colonel Sanders all had in common? What do we know about these individuals? We know that the Blackwood Brothers were gospel quartet singers. We know that Elvis Presley was considered to be the "King of Rock and Roll. We know that Colonel Sanders had a chicken house, or at least he sold chicken pieces to eat. What you may not know is that each of these individuals attended the same Assemblies of God church. Colonel Sanders marched down the church isle and sat right in the front pew where he could take the service in from a front row view. Elvis Presley wanted to sing with the Blackwood Brother's Quartet, and they gave him a trial, but Elvis could not sing harmony, so he didn't get the part, which was a huge disappointment to him at that time. Elvis always had a soft spot in his heart for God and the church. He returned to visit with the Pastor of that church numerous times. :D :D :D :D
