Yes, everyone appreciates being remembered/recognized on his or her birthday. I think the birthdays mean the most to the little people/young people. I remember the presents, the birthday cakes, and the friends coming to help celebrate the birthdays. Some birthdays mean more than others. The birthday at my 16th year meant a lot, because then I could get a driver's license. My 18th birthay was an important one because I graduated from high school a few months later, and I was still 18 years old. People often look forward to their 21st birthday for various reasons. After a certain age some people say they would just as soon not have anymore birthdays, but that is inevitable. The years will come and go whether or not we celebrate them!
