honor vs glory

There are two words, honor and glory, that in Hebrew are the same, Kabod. Somebody translates it one way, somebody another way.

But this always left me with an issue. When I remit my actions to the Lord... should I say "I did this for Your honor", or "I did this for your glory"? Is honor the glory of a person? Maybe it is. But in my mind I tend to differentiate between the two. Glory seems more external (what the people see). Honor is more interior (it's the way one feels). But in Hebrew there is no such distinction.

Somebody, says " I feel honored to be a servant of the Lord". That means honor is something that you give rather than you get.

To glorify, or give glory to the Lord,means, He deserve to accept glory due to what He is.
