Memorial Day For Our Service Men and Women

Yesterday was Memorial Day here in the states .. It Thanks those who have served our Country with Honor. I wondered if the Philippines had such a Holiday ?

i think we dont have a holiday on may 26, but maybe not of that day but ive knew there was a special holiday like yours also i forgot when it is! so far as i know i have work on it. maybe it different here in philippines

Angel if I remember right ?? Memorial day is the last Monday in May .. I could be wrong again ?? So the date varies on Memorial day here .

wayne, sorry but i dont have an idea about memorial day for men and women? its like the philippines military heroes they offer there lives to the country?

i think its our national heroes day here in philippines. i dont think in our country not on may its celebrate. maybe wayne only in the US. im gonna ask somebody who knows it.

I think it is Great to support Our Troops . I think Heroes day is a Good name for Memorial day . My family has been in This country's service since the Civil War that I am sure of . My Dad was in WW2 and My Uncles in The Korean War .

i just think your one of a military wayne? am i right? coz your family done with your country so much its a great to know it. and also youve been one of a hero to your country. so proud of your family members.

No Cheryz I was never in the service .. I was Told by My Father and Uncles to Never Volunteer for anything in the Service . My Dad was Drafted as was 1 of My Uncles . The Uncle who Volunteered is No longer with us . My Family has been in every War going from the Civil War to The Korean war .. My Cousin and I were not Drafted for Vietnam . But He did serve 4 years as a Reservist . I think it was 4 years it might have been 2 years . But The Key word here is Never Volunteer . My Dad Volunteered 1 time and was on KP for a month .. KP stands for Kitchen Patrol . Cleaning the Kitchen and peeling Potatoes . My Father hated that as do most Guys . My Uncle Volunteered and ended Up in Korea Freezing all the time . His Troop Never went to Korea just My Uncle and 1 other guy from his Squad . That is why You Never Volunteer for anything in the Service .
