FOLLOW the GOLDEN RULE

Postby chaychay644 » Mon Oct 05, 2009 9:47 pm

Are you familiar with the Golden Rule which states that “Do not Do unto others as you would have others do unto you”. Yeah, we should treat others the way we wanted to be treated :) :) :)

This old and honorable maxim is often thought by teachers in schools. They try to inculcate to children the importance of the said Rule. Parents also should try their best to teach their kids personal values and moral behavior coz as parents you served as the mirror to your siblings. Teach them with compassion on how they should treat others such as with respect, loved, honesty etc.

Yes! we have our own individual differences and we have to understand other people deeply by that. So that they will understand us also in terms of our own flows.

YES, if more people would live by that Rule, then we would have such a better world to live in. And to be honest about it, it isn't that difficult to follow it.

Sometimes there are instances that we can make mistake because others have cause us pain. Just in case someone you want to fight back what had others done to you, it is better to keep it by yourself. That is the lesson that i have learned. In case it continues, then that is the time to talk to the one who is responsible for the feelings that you have now. I have learned that it is better to admit the feeling that you have because of what others have said than to blame someone who have caused hurt to you:
Example: You are hurt of what others have done:
The right thing to deal with that hurt is:
I feel deep hurt in my heart because of what you have done - this is the better statement to say than
You caused deep pain in my heart of what you have done.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God

You know some people think that it doesn't matter how they treat other people. They are often very self centered and do other people wrong with no bad conscience. But I believe God rewards and punishes according to what we do. A person to does bad things to other people can expect bad things to happen to them. People who do good can expect good things to come to them. There is also eternal reward or punishment for what we do. People who do bad things to other people will be punished in eternity, or people who are kind to other people will be rewarded in eternity. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
