I have a special technique for killing mosquitos which is much the same as killing flies. Most people are not able to kill flies with their open hands, but I can. I am special!!!!
Pretty funny, huh?
I would not use this technique if our mosquitos carried disease, or if they bothered me, or gave me a reaction, but usually the mosquitos don't care to suck my blood, and when they do I usually have no reaction, and I don't even itch as a result of their bites. But if I were in the Philippines I certainly would not want them biting me, or if I were from Texas or Florida, or any of those countries where those Asian mosquitos have migrated I would not want them biting me either, but where I live I don't care whether they bite me, or whether they don't bite me.
For the mosquitos I allow them to draw a tiny bit of blood, drawing blood can be good for you, at least they used to think that years ago, but I really don't think that is true, so rule that out. As they are intent on drawing blood they have their whatever you call it, tube in drawing blood, and I swat them at that moment. If I get them right away it is a clean kill, but if I don't get them right away then the kill spashes blood all over my hand or arm.
The way I kill flies is that I come down on them very slowly, and I watch for them to squat, and as they are squatting I slap them rapidly, and if I do it correctly I kill them every time. If they are on my leg I raise my leg as I swat them and that works. If they are on a table using that technique will rattle all the dishes on the table, and if people standing around are not aware of what you are doing you will scare them to death while you are killing a fly. I could give a class on killing flies and do some demonstrating, don't you think?
A little silly, huh? This maybe should be in the joke section, except it is no joke!
If I were where the mosquitos spread disease I would clean up all the standing water where they breed, and I would do everything possible to keep them from landing on me, including using the vinegar and lemon juice, as I like everything natural as possble. One place we lived where the mosquitos were bad, we were careful not to let them in the house, and kill them as soon as they came in the house, so that they would not keep us from sleeping at night. We tried to keep the screens working, and in good conditoni, as well as trying to keep the doors closed when possible.
