This is very good, Mitch! It is important to give attention to one's partner. Giving time is important to the ones we love. They need our love. It is easy to feel badly in life about one thing and another. There is a song, "This World is Not My Home, I'm just a passin' through...." Then part of it says, "My treasures are laid up, somewhere beyond the blue...." Anyway attention and time given from one partner to the other is important and gives comfort. All of us need comfort. The Holy Spirit is God's comforter that He sent to be with His own, and we need the comfort of the Holy Spirit. When one partner is down, the other can lift him/her up. It is important to givfe time and attention to each other.
Be sweet always is very good. We need sweetness from our partners. Valentine's Day is not the only day that we should show kindness, but we should show kindness on a regular basis all year long. A kind word or a kind deed does not go unnoticed from God or our partner. It is always good to show kindness. Ephesians 4:32; "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." It is always right to be kind. Good surprises are wonderful. It is very nice to do something unexpected for a partner that will make their day happy.
