Farmville has taken the Philippines by storm

When i had my facebook account, I never thought that I can be hooked up and addicted to Farmville. Why not? My friends, neighbours and colleagues are talking and playing Farmville.

Farmville has earned the crunchie award being the best social application..Doctors, nurses, bank employees, students as well as the house of senate are all into farmville..It has made Friendster a run for their money. And i know that everyone will agree...

I've been addicted to Facebook more than ever because of the challenge that I encounter daily. Receiving as well as sending free gifts to friends as well as farmville neighbours...

Primarily, it is to maintain and harvest our own farms and eventually design it to suit our discriminating taste and preferences.

What can you do on Farmville? Well.. You can grow crops (many to choose from) and tend to animals. As you progress through the levels of Farmville you’ll be awarded ribbons, Farmville dollars, Farmville coins, XP and the feeling of great accomplishment.

I have lost someone to one of the several farm games on Facebook Many of my Facebook friends are compulsive FarmVille players. The game is designed to keep users engage to the highest level possible. It demands lot of time and care from the users. Some would stay glued to their computers, working on their virtual farms—sowing, harvesting, erecting fences, going to the marketplace, etc.

One of my friends spends hours on this game. Not that I don't play the game, I do it for the joy of having my own farm. Having your own piece of land where you can grow crops and raise bovines. Oh yes there are pink cows which yield strawberry milk while alien cow which is coloured green yield milktonium is one of the dreams of a large fraction of people, and FarmVille allows people to realise that dream. The developers of the game haven't made online version of farming any easier than real farming. Sowing any crop takes time as it would in real world. Then the crop takes its own time to grow and be ready for harvesting. Once ready, the crop has to be harvested before it wilts.The sophistication of the game makes loyal users who will log into their Facebook account not to see what friends are doing, but only to see if it's time to harvest crop or milk the cows.

I read in an article that some people even set alarms so that they can wake up in the night when their crop is ready for harvest. Amazing compulsion. In our office, a colleague of ours brings her laptop for rent during our office time...The Pinoy ingenuity at times like these...

Ok, i have to go now as i have to harvest and plant my asparagus...Happy farming!!!

I have to admit I participate in Farmville. But do people actually use real money to purchase stuff such as the farm expansion. They must have more money than sense.

The game is repetitive, I am expecting to soon reach the stage where I lose the will to live and stop playing. I think Farm Town is the better game.

Me either..I can say that I am addicted to Farmville..There were cases when I am away from computer and suddenly my farm bumps on my mind..There, I'll be in a hurry to go home..

But, we don't really need to use real money in order to purchase stuff such as the upgrading of farm..and other stuff such as buildings and decorations..Coz as time goes a long, you earned farm cash just by playing the famville..and that is what you use in purchasing a lot of items to beautify your farm..

Well, some people are capable of having visa and master cards and can be used in farmville. a farmville neighbour even bought a weathered barn for 27 farmville money and she was then at level 20 @ that time. who would say that she can afford? all she got to do was to use her master card...yes folks, some people can go that far !!! yeah to each his own, i would say..peace!!! lolz

lastly, farmville and zynga has created tons of inspirations and motivations. just like the newly released, fresh from the oven, super pumpkins and have you upgraded your farms into 24 x 24 mighty plantations already? i do...

I have aLsO been addicted with Farmville befOre. My gOaL is tO get intO the highest LeveL and I have raced tO my sister too.. My farm is very ugLy, its nOt prOperLy arranged I didnt think tO beautify my farm. I just want tO get intO the highest Level.. But I was ashamed when my sister pOsted a cOmment in my farm. She said yOur farm is very ugLy unLike me.. hahaha.. And frOm that time I did my best tO beautify my farm. I gOt the LeveL 26. I stOpped pLaying Farmville because I feel tired Of it. I`m bOred Of pLOwing my farm and pLanting and the internet cOnnectiOn isvery sLOw I aLways tOLd tO restart. I get disgusted pLaying it and didnt get back anymOre.. I aLsO dOnt get prOfit frOm pLaying On it , I am nOt enjOying pLaying it anymOre cause I get disgusted and I have tO get imprisOn my avatar first sO that I can pLOw easiLy. We see people on Facebook who are participating in the Farmville game. We never got involved in it, so it hasn't made a lot of sense to us. There are some who everytime you see them on Facebook they are doing something with their farm. That's kind of like forwards. We have some friends that we never hear a personal message from, but they are always sending forwards. It would be nice if they would write a sentence or two and let us know how they are doing, and what they are doing.

Yes, you are right Mr. Edwin. THey must write also what is going on in their life there. My niece and nephew are playing farmville. Infact they are in level 54. How i wish to have farm to cultivate also

Level 47 and still climbing - I was going to stop at 50, but maybe not . I really must get a life.

In Farmville XP is everything. Just grow peas. They give a good profit and 3XP per plot. Use the Farmers Market to give you an XP per plot when harvesting.

Be ruthless about minimising stuff that adds nothing. Windmills, balloons, kids trolley's may look good, but add nothing to your progress. Buy buildings for the XP then sell the building.

Don't start buildings such as Stables or Nursery Barns. They add nothing and are designed to get you to use your credit card so you can finish the building.
