ANNIVERSARY

Postby jadegil6 » Mon Jun 07, 2010 5:53 pm

Thanks to all of the Members who are helping to make this a successful Forum.

June 8, 2010 is the one year Anniversary of the Forum, and as of today, we have had 3,013 members to join, and countless others who read the posts as our guests.

During the past year I have had to ban 58 people, most of whom were scammers trying to trick us into logging onto another website's URL, which possibly could have infected your computer with some type of virus in order to steal your personal information. But that is probably a common problem for all Forums, and is something that we just have to deal with. Thanks to those of you who have alerted me to the presence of the scammers when they post, and with your help we can keep our pages free of their tricks. Remember that if you do find a post that has some words highlighted in blue, then those are probably links that will take you to a bad place, so please do not click on them. I do post some words in blue at times, but the links are usually one or two words of some sentence, so beware of any sentences that you may find like that.

Once again....Thank all of you so very much for helping to make our Forum enjoyable!

God bless you,
Michael

Congratulations and thanks Michael.

It has been fun getting to know people 'virtually' on the Forum. I hope I have not upset too many people with my views and sense of humour.

What plans do you have to further develop the website - live chat??

Good luck and best wishes to all members of the Forum. May your dreams come true.

Indeed, running a forum is not an easy job. From time to time it needs to update and it is a lot of job. To all the members congratulations.
An intimate relationship w/ God must b our highest priority. When U hav right or poor relationship w/Him,out of that relationshp flows everything else in our life. Thus, your relationship to Him determines how you live your life. It all relates to that

As of now, I have no plans to add live chat. There are other venues for chats, and most people utilize Yahoo for those. From the reports that I read from other dating websites, the chat programs take a lot of server space, and often cause the servers to crash, leaving the site offline for days at a time. Maybe if the system gets perfected, then I might look closer at that option.
It is already such a job adding and updating profiles, and answering all of the emails, and also now that the Forum has more members, I have to monitor all of the posts at least twice a day. Then I have the PM's for the sweepstakes.
jaderune.com is my part-time hobby. I have my real job, and I have a daughter who needs lots of attention as well. So as of now, the only plans I have are to possibly start an online store, and add gift items for sale in the Nipa Hut.

congratulations michael :) .... my friendly advice is: don't take on more than you can ENJOY handling [2cor: 9:7].... in other words don't get stressed out.... i'm sure you already know giving your daughter attention is infinitely more important than your website "hobby"-ministry :) .... and i hope you already know we greatly appreciate what you have done for us and the service you are providing... salamat, thank you...
i also hope it will encourage you to remember: "your labor in the Lord is not meaningless" [1cor. 15:58] :) and there will be a future "heavenly" reward for you... "at that time each will receive praise from God" [1cor. 4:5] :D....

Yeah, thank you Sir Michael for having your wonderful website, and for running this Forum, and allowing us to find new friends who might possibly be more than a friend someday. It is also a wonderful thing that you are trying to help those kids in Danao City. Good luck with your continuing efforts in all of these endeavors. :D

i agree to your plans sir Mich ;) ;) , it's good that the site will remain on what it has now rather than upgrading it and then offline for the next weeks...
I salute you for keeping the site on despite of the very stiff competition of the online dating sites!!!Keep up sir!!! GOD BLESS to your plans :ugeek: :ugeek:

Thanks for your comments. But to be absolutely honest about it, I do not feel as though I am in "competition" with any other site. I operate this site forthe benefit of those people who wish to utilize it in order to meet new friends, and possibly someone special, and also for the benefit of the kids in the Danao City orphanage. I do not run the site to make money. Almost all of the money that the ads generate are given away as prizes in the Sweepstakes, or help to offset my host server and ISP expenses.
There are a few free sites for Filipinas that are like 'sister' sites to jaderune.com, and I have links to some of those on my links page. And there are many pay sites that are on the web that have many more services for a price. If people wish to join any of those, then I have no problem with that, and I encourage it.
I am here to do what I can for those who wish to use my site, and I can only hope that some of the people will be generous enough to make a donation to help the orphanage. I would really appreciate all of your prayers for the orphaned children, where ever they may be in this world. God bless them, one and all.
