So Crisi, Tagalog is the one to learn, huh? When I was substitute teaching I was in classes a lot of time with many Mexican kids, so I started learning Spanish. We ended up moving where no one spoke Spanish, so I kind of lost interest in it as there seemed to be no purpose. I agree with you that when you go into a country with another language, you should make an effort to learn that language. Just making an effort I think helps the people who are native to the country to feel better. I taught with a Native American Indian fellow who learned Spanish. He told me that he could understand the langage, hearing it, much better than he could communicate, speaking it. I think don't get in a hurry to learn, but keep at it until you do learn. Crisi, you do a wonderful job of communicating using English! :D :D :D :D

I believe that there is an online tutorial how to speak tagalog. I believe it is free. It is easy to learn our language. At first, it might be hard but later on you will find it easy. Just like us, I was so hard to learn to speak English. My late father taught us a lot when he retired at work. While at home, he let us read books loud and then he will correct our pronunciation. Also, he taught us about poem, how to deliver, and also public speaking. Even our posture and out gesture, he taught us proper. That is why I use to sit or stand straight. But sometimes, I forgot. But when I am at work, I am very much straight to sit or walk because all i can see are my officemates who are snappy. Then i can be snappy too :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D .

Thank you sir Edwin for your appreciation about my communication. I know it takes time to learn your language, though. :P :P :P

You are welcome, Crisi; you do a good job with the English language. Thank you for the information on the Tagalog tutorial. That could help a lot of various people who need to learn the language. I know it makes people feel happy when you are making an effort to learn their language. The Mexicans that I worked with years ago were happy that I was making an effort to learn their language. I picked up a quite a few words and phrases. I hear people saying, "You are in America, so learn to speak English!" People who want to find employment here have an advantage if they know Spanish, as we have so many Mexicans living in our towns! We had a full blood Mexican teaching computer in an all Native American Indian School, and he could not speak one word of Spanish, but he said that he was going to learn. When his parents came across the border he was punished in school if he was heard speaking any Spanish words, so he lost his language.
