I have always eaten things that made others worry.I have eaten things from the dumpster if was good. I really didn't need to, but wanted to, and it worked. We had one guy working where we lived in the National Park. He was waiting tables. In the back where we did the dishes, and I have worked there many times, he would take the food off people's plates who did not eat all their food, and he would eat it! That I would not do. He didn't have to; he was a dentist's son, and had more money that any of the rest of us could only dream about having! When we moved I had candied crakers, chocolates of various kinds, and a can of carmeled candies; can't think of the name just now, but I was handing them out, until my kids found out they were 5 or 6 years old, and they would not eat any more! My son-in-law's mother took some of these carmeled candies, and they laughed at her. She asked, "What is so funny?" They were laughing because she didn't know that these candies were 6 years old, but they had been sealed, so they should have been good forever, right? Anyway we got lots of food from this place after they threw it away, but I had to take it without their knowledge, even though they knew I took if, and often times gave it to me, but the reason was health and government regulations. It would be like juices, fruits, lasania sp?, and many other foods, many still in their original packaging. I think I worried this one cook, because he told me that his grandpa died from eating something that was too old! Some things improve with age!
