Right and wrong are two opposite things. When we disobey the law (human law), there is corresponding punishments/ or punishment to it. When you obey traffic rules, the police will caution you and will issue you ticket with corresponding amount of money as fine.

The same is true with the law of Moses. The 10 commandment states

1. You shall have no other gods before me.

2. You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

5. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

6. You shall not murder.

7. You shall not commit adultery.

8. You shall not steal.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

"The above 10 commandments need no explanation. They mean exactly what they are saying. It’s quite amazing how many of these commandments are being broken on a regular basis, even by Christians themselves. If you look very closely at each of these commandments, they really do cover a broad spectrum as to what God is expecting from each one of us.

These 10 commandments are good, basic, moral laws that will help keep us out of trouble with ourselves, family, friends, and neighbors. God knows what is best for all of us and He simply wants all of us to stay out of trouble in order that we may be able to live in peace and harmony with one another.

The fact that God would go so far as to have these basic 10 commandments manifested on a stone tablet really tells me they are very important, and that each Christian should know what they are and do their best to abide by them with the help of the Holy Spirit." - Bible-knowledge.com

# 7. Do not commit adultery.

Some Christian, even those who are devoted, failed this. Even they are still married, they will look for someone else and have illicit sex with other man or woman.

if you see a reminder on the road with the words "Be careful, road under repair" or "Deep excavation", and since you did not believe it, and still go through it, absolutely you will be in trouble and get hurt. Will you still continue to drive within that signs?

You are correct purex about all the ten commandments being important! You are also correct about the seventh one being broken so often and even by Christians. About observing the rest day, that is very important too. My Dad in his younger days worked lots of horses and some mules in the field. He said that the horses and mules have to have one day out of seven to rest, and if they are not given rest they will not do well. They will get more tired, until they won't be able to work at all. So this is a testimony to the importance of that commandment, and they are all important and for our good! :D :D :D :D

When peace rest in our hearts in every decision that we make, then I do believe that it is a good decision that we will make. I do believe that divine intervention is very important in making decisions. When God blesses us, His blessing no added sorrow to it. That must we consider in making decisions in life. :D :D :D :D

Yes, Crisi, we do need divine intervention in making our decisions. As we make the correct decisions God will give us peace about it. You are very right, Crisi, that with God's Blessings there comes no sorrow. :D :D :D :D

The decision that you and I will make will affect our lives, can be for a short time or even a life time.

Did you make a decision in life wherein you decided to trust the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord? How many of us neglect the love of Christ. Did you realize that if you do not have relationship with God, everything is this world is nothing compare to eternity?

Remember, our heart and head are just a foot distance but how many of us did not make decision of accepting the Gift of Salvation which is only in Christ Jesus.

The decision you and I will make whether we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord will affect our lives for eternity.

Now, you and I must decide to receive the gift of salvation, and your life will make a difference for a life time. Why wait for tomorrow when you can have the eternity today? Or maybe you cannot have tomorrow and it is late for you to accept. Do not delay, for today is the day of salvation.

"What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul, or what can a man give in exchange for his soul." If a person loses his or her own soul, there is no profit, only loss! Today is the day of salvation, and tomorrow may not even be available. Tomorrow may be too late. So make your peace with God today, and that is what the book of Hebrews teaches, that we must do what we should about eternity today, not tomorrow. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God is not willing that any should perish. He has given the free gift of salvation. God gave His only son, and Jesus gave Himself for a sacrifice for our sins, that we might have the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Yes, please accept Him today! Jesus is knocking at your heart's door asking to come in, and won't you let Him come in? :D :D :D :D

Discernment is to know the right from wrong.

The question is how will you know if it is right or if it is wrong.

If it is right then that is not wrong, if it is wrong then that is not right.

Being Christian, it is important to have standard in life. Being Christian, we know that the right thing to do is what God wanted us to do and wrong if we disobey what is the right thing to do in accordance to his commands.

Is to kill wrong, yes it is!
Is to fornicate wrong, yes it is!
Is to go premarital sex wrong, yes it is!
Is to lie wrong, yes it is !
Is to be dishonest wrong, yes it is!

What else you know the basis of your actions?

The Bible tells us that people sometimes get so far away from God that they call right wrong and wrong right. They get their standards mixed up, and really they have no standards, but they just do whatever pleases them. They love darkness and won't come to the light because they don't want it shown what their deeds are. Places of sin seem to be dark places. They keep the lights low in places where sin is commited. What God says is wrong is wrong, and what God says is right is right. Yes, the right thing to do is what God wants us to do, and He wants us to keep his commandments. :D :D
