Sometimes, we make foolish things because we are doing things out of emotion. Emotion is not stable, it can be a good motivator or can be discouragement. That is why we need to fully understand what is the content of our hearts. :P :P :P :P :P :P

You are right, Crisi, all of us have done things that we are not proud of as a result of emotional motivation. Emotions can be a help or a hindrance depending on our control over our emotions and how we use them. Yes, what is in our hearts is very important, and out of the heart are the issues of life. "Create in me O God a Clean heart and renew a right spirit within me," huh?

As the mind has a conscious and an unconscious part (in the biblical tradition they were called Reshut Ha-Rabbim/Public Domain and Reshut Ha-Yahid/Private domain), the heart also has to parts.

One is the foolish heart that we have to fence, which is the outer aspect. Then, there is "the knowing heart" (Lev Mevin), or "understanding heart". This is the inner heart that talks in a still small voice, which the ordinary people usually cannot even hear. It can also be called sixth sense. Despite whatever motion of the outer heart... this inner heart knows it all... knows the commitment and perceives the bigger truths around us.

To me the character types studied in psychology classes, and the body types were interesting. It is very interesting that they think that certain body types go with certain mental, emotional, and sensational types. For instance they think that the overweight people tend to be easy going, and easy come easy go, eveything is okay type. I don't remember what they think about the tall skinny people. Maybe I don't want to remember because that is pretty much my category, most of my life anyway. There was a short time fit into the slightly overweight category, but my earlier life I was so skinny that the kids made fun of me for that, but now I am not skinny, or am I over weight, but I am just about right, and that is a good feeling to be in that category, because it is the healthy place to be as well. Then the character types Crisi brought out found in Proverbs is interesting as well. Many times people can't help their body type/weight as it is considered to be inherited, and they say that your body tried to hold a certain weight even if it is too much weight. People can help their character types described in Proverbs by following the teachings of Jesus, and looking to the Lord for guidance. It is difficult to do what is right often times, but with God all things are possible, and the rewards are to the overcomers. We overcome by the word of our testimony, and by the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that He shed for us on the cross of Calvary. We can be overcomers with God's help, and that is the only way we can overcome. We can't do it on our own, but with God's help we can! :D :D

There are times that I just want to sit and do nothing. I use to listen music that encourage me. Like in the barrio, I usually sit down in the nipa hut at the back of the house because it is more cooler there. And I like to see the green plants outside while i am in the nipa hut. Just like last week, I have really fond of eating a lot of young coconut with milk and eyes together with my younger brother, uncle, mama and cousin. :D

Wow, Crisi, that sounds so peaceful, so enjoyable, and so much fun to sit in the Nipa Hut and eat coconuts with the milk! Sometimes it is good for you to sit and relax, and no doubt you need that time to breath and enjoy. Listening to encouraging music is always good. Years ago when I really did work hard, but no harder than digging my cellar, in fact not as hard, working in the field, we would come in, in the evening, and when the cool evening air would come it would feel so delicious! When I was visiting in the Philippines in 2010 and the electricity would shut down, all the fans would stop running, and my friend was already hot and miserable, then he would say, "Dave, lets go out back and get some air off the water," and so we would go out and look over to Cebu Island. Then he would say, "Look, they have electricity and we don't, and that is just not right because the electricity comes from our Island," Negros, Oriental! It was kind of fun watching the ferries cross back and forth, and the cars driving up the winding road to the higher part of Cebu, Island. :D :D

I don't think there are many of us that are happy with every single thing we have done. We have commited sins of omition, in that we have failed to do some things that we should have. We have commited sins of commision in that we have done some things that we should not have done. All though God's word we are told about God's forgiveness. He wants us to ask forgiveness from Him and other people. He wants us to forgive others and ourselves. He wants us to be better people. What is important is that we learn from other's mistakes, learn from our own mistakes and do better with our lives. We can't do anything about the past except seek forgiveness, but we can make better choices today, so that our tomorrows will turn out better. It is not good to spend too much time thinking about the past, because it is gone. It is not a good idea to spend too much time thinking about the future because it is not here yet, but we can learn from the past, live better in the present, and build a better future which will come. We are to solve today's problems, and then solve tomorrows problems when tomorrow gets here! :D :D

There are times that I am not in the mood, thus, it makes me lazy to do things.

But, I do not take forgranted my responsibility. I do desire to be responsible and honest in everything I do. After all, God sees everything. Like at work. It needs honesty and discipline. Waking up early is not an easy task, i do believe this. Sometimes, I feel like a cold cooking oil, wanted to sleep more. But I realize that action affects our life, so we must do what is suppose to do.
An intimate relationship w/ God must b our highest priority. When U hav right or poor relationship w/Him,out of that relationshp flows everything else in our life. Thus, your relationship to Him determines how you live your life. It all relates to that

Yes, m&m, it is important to be responsible and honest. All of have times we don't want to do what we need to do. Most all of my life I have been a highly ambitious person with lots of drive. I have had no problem working hard when I needed to, or even working hard when I didn't need to work hard. But there have been a few times that I didn't want to do what I needed to do, but I had to make myself do what was necessary. Most of my young adult life I have had a hard time getting out of bed, and wanting to get started for the day. Once I got up I was fine, but many times I would lay there and crave more sleep. As I got older, maybe I learned to go to bed at night when I needed to, but it got easier for me to get out of bed. I have been retired for a few years now, so I don't have to keep any schedule, but I still try to go to bed when I should, and get out of bed when I should, because it would be very easy for me to turn my hours around, partially because of the years that I worked at night instead of day.

Yes, God does see everything. We realize we are accountable to Him, and so we live our lives accordingly. Here this is still the winter season, although it seems like it should be spring. During the winter there isn't much that we can do outside, so it is a good time to relax and get some rest. Later when spring comes I will need to get busy with a few projects, but I am under no pressure, and I will not need to work as hard as I did to get my cellar dug/built, wall built, and so on. I will need to redo the back yard, but that will not be a huge hard project like I finished at the beginning of the winter. So, for now I am walking my 6.5 miles each day, watching movies, eating, playing the piano a lot, and doing this. We had 4 inches of fresh snow yesterday, and while I was walking it was snowing and the wind was blowing. Only for a short time one side of my face and my nose was cold, and other than that the walk was okay. When I saw it was storming I wondered whether or not i should even walk, but I was glad I did. During the night we had another 4 inches of new fresh snow, so the last 2 days we have had a total of 8 inches of new snow! Winter is not finished yet, and it is still time to enjoy just surviving the winter. :D :D
