Yes, Crisi, I will watch for you to come walking down our lane in from the mailbox! Yes, flowers are beautiful! They lift a person's spirits. Also what we plant takes the carbondioxide as food out of the air, as well as soil food, and water, and then gives off oxygen that we need to breath, so plants are very healthy for us. Until recently it has been easy to water things in the back yard because I was pumping water out of the cellar twice a day, but the water has not been coming into the cellar as much; I only have to pump it once every several days, so I am not getting water from the cellar much to water things. Now I am having to draw water out of the house, and carry it out to water the rose bush, the prune tree, and the razburry bush. I need to get into the habit of doing that so that they don't dry up!
Carol's brother while living in the Philippines would tell us about the wet season when things would all turn green. Then he would tell us about the dry season when things would turn brown, and there was nothing they could do, because during the dry season they just didn't have enough water to keep everything green.
Here we have a holding tank that allows us to have more water than the well puts out, but the well has to replace that water during the middle of the night. We do have to be somewhat careful, so that we don't run out of water. I need to draw water to water the plants either late at night, or early in the morning, when we are all using less water!
