Nice photos, lyrehc. I was just teasing you about the 'forbidden' camera. Yep, them Egyptians (and maybe me, too) should beware of lyrehc's revenge!

I would like to be able to see the places you are visiting there in Egypt. I have a Filipina friend who has been to Egypt several times, and she thinks she may wish to retire there because the prices are very cheap. But I would be concerned for the "hate" that exists there for Christians, and I would always be worried that some Muslim uprising would lead to my door being kicked in, and my head being cut off. I would like to visit, but not to stay long term. I will be moving to the Philippines one of these days, and my excursions will be all around there in some Christian-occupied surroundings. I might be able to go to some other Asian countries, but just for short-lived vacations.
Keep me laughing, lyrehc!

Well things like food and clothing are very cheap here ,but gadgets are not that good it is expensive food are also nice but they don't have pork, about the religion they have the old orthodox here and so many Christian too.. They may have been a little discrimination on religion but Egypt was a republic so its a free country... Anyway last time I heard there's a plane crash here and the plane just vanish, even the pilot never give a signal what happen to that plane .

That plane crash is big news here in the US. All of the media have been speculating as to "if" it was a terrorist attack, or not. We will have to wait for the authorities to find the black boxes to see if those can offer any answers to what really happened. Thus far, ISIS has not claimed any responsibility. It is so sad that the world is so messed up that people have to fear for their lives just wanting to travel.
lyrehc, it is very possible that you do not see the news we see in the US about the Muslims killing the Coptic Christians in Egypt. Stay safe.

Big news here too. Last I read the signal from one of the black boxes had been heard and a French ship with remote control submarines was on its way to try and get the box. Hopefully the second box is in the same area and between them the data will show if it was an accident or act of terrorism.

Egypt really does not need any more damage to it's tourist trade.

I am seeing the news but it's Arabic it's hard for me to understand it. As I saw the news when they first public that they can't see any signs of the plane but the next they found some belongings of the passenger.the English media was really pissed off because the government here prioritize the Arabic media....
