A preacher in a country church was preaching with the windows open because it was so hot. A cross breeze came through and blew his notes off his pulpet, and out the window. A cow came along and ate his notes afterwhich she went dry! I'm not sure who told this joke, but how likely would it be that a cow would eat paper notes?

I was moving some our daughter's belongings out of one of my reefer trailers and I came across across a book about jokes. I read one, which I can't remember right now, but it was rather clever, so I thought I would get some ideas out of that book what to write here. It is still in the reefer, so I will need to get it, but it will not be hard to do that. :D :D :D :D

For Christmas I got a jar of chocolate individually wrapped candies from all over the world. Tonight I ate 4 of them, and in each was wrapped a little saying. I think these pieces of candy were from Russia, so if it doesn't make complete sense, something may have become lost in the translation. Here they are:

A kiss strikes like lightning, Love passes like a storm! When you kiss or are kissed, is it like lightning. That is electrifying! There are colors, there is intense light. It is like fireworks. It sounds almost like sex, doesn't it?    I hope love does not pass like a storm!

Economized love is never real love! So, the message is don't go cheap, because it might not be seen as love!

Rare though true love may be, it is less rare than true friendship. I think what this is saying is that true love is rare, but true friendship is even more rare. You want your lover to be your best friend! What do you have without friendship? :D :D :D :D

A man enjoys the happiness he feels, a woman the happiness she gives. According to this the woman is the giver, and the man is the taker! I think it could be either way, and the Bible says it is more blessed to give than to receive, but in order to give, someone has to receive also. This has to do with give and take. Give 100 %! If you give 100 %, and your lover gives 100 %, then you are both very happy!!!! :D :D :D :D

I like the one about friendship. True friendship is very rare and should be not taken lightly. We all have friends but a lot of these friends seem to get scarce when life goes wrong.
Sometimes helping a friend who is in a jam is the best thing that you can do for yourself,it just doesn`t become apparent until later.

Yes, that is true, Smiley, that when things don't go so well for us then we find out who our true friends are. There is nothing more valuable than good friends. It is true that many lose their friends when things get hard for them. Jesus is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother! :D :D :D :D

One of my friends told me that someone stole his wife's purse and wallet. He still hasn't reported it because they spend less money on the credit cards than she does.

In Sunday School years ago in Canada they sang a chorus, and I'm not familiar with that chorus, but they are there I guess. The chorus is something like, "The Cross I bear." When the child came home from Sunday School the parents asked that child what happened at Sunday School, and he told his parents that they sang about the Cross Eyed Bear! There was another that I also am not familiar with, but I guess they sang it in Canada. It was something about I left my heart at Calvary. The little Canadian fellow came home and told his parents that in church they sang, "I left my heart at Calgary!"

When I was really little there were these two old fat chicks that would sing duets at church. They were sisters or something. What I remember most is that they were each about the size of a Buick and they were LOUD! One song that they would often sing was "Bringing In The Sheaves"To my 4 year old ears it sounded like "Bringing In The Cheese"! I could never figure out what that had to do with church!
