It is sad to have to live in penury because of hardships. All of us want to have things better in our lives, but sometimes we have to make the best of what we have. It is good to have what we need for our daily living, and also to have something for an emergency, and then to have something for a vacation to relieve the stress in our lives. It is important to appreciate the person who helps to spend wisely so we don't end up in trouble financially. Loving each other and pulling together is what helps! :D :D

Love for God and his faithfulness to live a godly life is the most thing that I am attracted to person. if this happens, then all will follow. He will love me as he love God.

I have upgraded my idea about what turns me on! It is chocolate candies, beautiful flowers, and I will add soft beautiful music, especially the romantic kind! Also candle lite dinners, we had some of them because the power had failed, adds a romantic touch as well! There are no better love songs than the church/hymn songs that we sing to God whether in church, or whether we are making a melody in our hearts to the Lord! Going to church with your precious one adds a special touch as well, being in the presence of the Lord and experiencing His Blessing on your/our lives! I have other ideas also, but these are a few! :D :D

I find this statement very dangerous and coundn't decide yet if it has a heretical connotation. From one side, I would say that the godly person has to love every other person and everything the same way. So, he could love you as he loves God, but not just you. His love would show no preference. He would not show a preference even for God, but treat Him as a friend (see Abraham, Jacob, etc.). So, the sentence would be correct, but it would omit some hidden meaning.

On the other side, I would consider this statement wrong for the only reason that you are likening yourself to God. And this cannot be made for a person in flesh.

Concerning what turns me on, I would say seeing God's attributes in a person. For example when the other person has a listening heart, shows compassion, tries to behave right, etc.

I read this " loving God will also means loving man" but " to love a someone does not always mean to love God."

What I mean is that, when the person has a relationship with God, and being mature spiritually, it does mean that all will follow like loving me, too.

Crisi, you are right that if your potential guy loves, honors, and respects God, he will do that for you as well. It follows, and Jesus gave examples and admonitions that way as well. Jesus loved His Own until death, and we are to love each other as Christ loved His church and gave himself for His church. It all follows that if a person loves God, he/she will love family and relatives, friends, neighbors, and even enemies as well. A person will probably treat you as he has treated his mother and sisters, and the wife will probably treat her husband as she has treated her brothers and father. It all follows; Love God and love your fellow man. If you love God, you will love your fellow man and treat him/her right! :D :D

It turns me on when he loves the Lord. If he do that means he posses the quality of being a good person and be loving. So hard to find a true one. Of course, if he is obedience to the Word of GOd, then he is a blessed man. It is full of peace to have someone you can relate and love the Lord and be faithful. This life is all about Him and not us. As much as we obey Him, we open the heaven to pour out blessings to us. Not only materially but also spiritually.

I am also impressed when people devote their lives to living to glorify God. Being an ordained minister in the Assembly of God church I get notified every time a minister in our district, which is Washington, mainly dies. I read them because I am always interested in people, what they did, where they went, and how they lived. I read about this lady, ordained minister who died when she was just past 100 years old, and that amazed me, because not everyone even makes it to be 100 years old. Her name was Rev. Lois Prater. She lived around the Seattle area, and when she was 76 years old her husband died. She started going to the Philippines with church groups. While speaking at a small church in the Philippines she became aware of someone who was trying to sell their baby to attemp to have survival for the rest of the family. She helped them with a little money, and then she went home, sold everything she owned, returned to the Philippines and started a children's home. She ministered at the children's home, and small school involved with it, until her health started deteriorating in 2005, when she returned to the area around Seattle, Washington. When she did, the Assembly of God church took over her children's home, and sent missionaries to continue its work, and then just a few weeks ago she died just past her 100th birthday. What a marvelous life, and selfless life that lady lived! It is the "King's Garden Children's Home in the Baatan peninsula, around Orion.
