We baled out on the Jackie Chan movie! It was not bad with all of its humor, but there was so much fighting, that it seemed almost boring, unless you are a Jackie Chan fan. We will no doubt watch it some time in the future, and may even enjoy it, but not now. We just finished watching, "David Copperfield," which is a movie based on a book written by Charles Dickens. It had lots of drama, lots of sadness, lots of death, but there were happy elements also, and we enjoyed watching it! :D :D

Yesterday, we watched a "Abbot and Costello, Jack and the Bean Stock!" The setting for this particular movie about this old kid's fable was this young couple getting ready to go out together, but they couldn't find a baby sitter for the young lady's younger brother and little sister, so they were just about to give up on the idea. Abbot and Costello got into minor trouble and ended up in the Police Station. This young couple called the police station, and Abbot and Costello heard the voice asking for a baby sitter, so they volunteered. They went to the house, and Abbot went into the bedroom to read to this kid, but he could read some of the big words, so he asked the kid to read to him, which he did, but Abbot fell asleep, and dreamed about Jack and Bean Stock while being read to. The whole story involved these people in what Abbot was dreaming. It was kind of fun to watch this movie.

After we finished watching Abbot and Costello, we watched "Under the Twelve Mile Reef." It has Robert Wagoner in it when he was a young guy in his early twenties. It was funny to watch in him that as a very young guy playing a teenager after watching him in NCIS as Tony Denoso's Dad, Tony Senior as an old man, well just past middle aged anyway. This is a romantic and tragic story set in a fishing village where they were fishing, or diving for Sponges. There were fights with rival fisherman, and the Dad died from the bends after he fell of the ledge and came up too fast. The rival fisherman were stealing their Sponges, one of their gang set the boat on fire, the guy beat up Tony, played by Robert Wagoner, and he fell in love with the daughter of the rival fisherman. We ran out of time, so we have not seen the end of this movie, but so far it is fun to watch. :D :D

We enjoyed watching Series One of The Brief. It is an English court with a lawyer who has all kinds of interesting cases to try to win in court. Usually the Judge, and often the prosecutor or defense lawyer is against him, so he has his challenged, but it is quite dramatic with a little bit of romance, single parent, and other even suspenseful events in it.

We tried watching Syrian Bride, but it was in a foreign language, and often the subtitles were against a background making it impossible to follow the movie, and know what was being said. It was set in the Golan Heights with the challenges between the Arabs, Syrains, and the Israelies. Basically Carol had more trouble following it than I did, and she got tired of the language problem, and also the friction between the political factions which often bothers her, so we stopped the movie after watching a short bit of it.

We tried watching Corner Gas, which is supposed to be quite commical, with romantic themes and local humor, but it seemed quite stupid, or maybe we were not in the mood for that kind of humor, so we bagged that one after watching just a little bit of it. It was Corner Gas, Season 6, Dog River, Town Limits, and it was funny, and maybe a bit too crazy.

We enjoyed watching Decoy Bride, which was a very good romantic movie. This guy and his movie star girlfriend came onto the Island of Hegg, with the intentions of getting married. They were troubled by the press because of the gal being a famous movie star, so they hatched this plan to have a fake wedding with a girl on the Island to throw off the press. He was matched up with her by one of his people, so they went through with the wedding, while the intended bride and another guy were in hiding. I don't think they intended to go all the way with the wedding, but that is what happened. Then they were locked in the building in this room together while the press was discouraged, thrown off, and sent away. They fell in love while they were together, but they hatched up this plan to get unmarried with a ritualistic ceremony performed by the minister. Then the intended couple were shown together getting ready to get married, but apparently it never happened, because, he ended up coming back for his decoy bride, his unintended bride, they were in love, and lived happily ever after. It was a very fun story to watch.

We have a movie that Carol and I used to watch together a few times, but then she decided that she doesn't lke that movie. The main reason she doesn't like the movie is because she thinks the older brother is mean to the younger brother. It is Two Brothers and a Bride. These brothers and their mother operate a vegetable farm, and she takes care of them until she dies. They need someone to help them after that, so they take a tour to Russia to try to get a wife to take care of them. There is a lot of romance, culture, and humor in that movie, and you would enjoy watching it I am sure! :D :D

Sir Ed, I never get bored of Jackie Chan's movies. I like him as an actor because he does all his stunts. Along with him I like Jet Li too. But Jet Li never does like jackie. The fun about jackie is that he put humor on his actions. His facial expressions already funny for me. That is why I like him a lot as an actor. Best movie I like of him is that movie with Chris Rock which they play both as detectives. and that movie with Owen Wilson.

Anyway, I got movies to watch Quartet and identity thief. Last week I had Bruce Willis A good day to die hard. Bruce Willis can't seem to get away that Die hard title.. I am anticipating the Red 2 movie of his, it is full of action. Now my daughter is trying to open that chocolate powder milk to I better log off for now.

Yes, Red, if our daugher is tring to open that powdered chocolate milk, you had better run and save the day. I wasn't finished watching that Jackie Chan movie, but Carol was. I think it was her mood. We own the movie, so it won't be hard to watch it again, or continue where we left off. We borrowed "The Prince & Me" from the library, but we own that movie, and we watched it not long ago, so we decided not to watch it again right away. We watched "Snowglobe" which was a fanciful fun movie to watch. The half black and half Italian gal magically went inside a snowglobe someone got for her. It was like she was dreaming, but then she went there and came back while awake. She found a guy took him from his girlfriend, thought she loved him, but decided they were from two different world, so she sent him back to his girlfriend, and took up with a person living in the same build as she. It was fun to watch it. We watched "Simply Irrestistible" which was an interesting story about a young gal who owned a small restaurant that she inherrited from her mother, but she was not making enough money, and her landlord raised the rent until she had to quit business. She fell in love with this guy who owned a business complex that included a high faluten restaurant, she became head chef, saved the day, with everyone falling in love with her, including her guy. It was a fun movie to watch.

We watched "Patch Adams," which was a movie starring Robin Williams. He was crazy fun medical student who drove his instructors crazy, but made everyone in the hospital laugh, have a good time, and improve their health through his efforts 2 make everyone happy. At first we thought it was going to be too crazy, but it was genuinely funny, and had a good message.

We watched "The Thirteenth Day," which is a story about 3 young teenagers who saw an appearance of the Virgin Mary in the sky. She told them things, told them not to tell, and they got into trouble with the government because they would not tell. They were told that two of them would go to heaven soon, and soon after two of them died of enfluensa SP? The third became a nun, and died the same year my mother died, and she I think was about the same age as my mother. I am not going to get into the doctine of the Virgin Marry, becasue I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings or insult anyone, but our belief is that she was a woman to be honored, she was honored, and good things were spoken of her, but we don't elevate her to the same position that the Catholic church does, although I respect their beliefs even though I don't fully subscribe to some of them. There is enough good teaching, good doctrines in the Catholic church for their members to be Christians. That story was based on a real happening. I wonder if maybe the appearance was actually of Jesus in His resurrected state.

We watched "The Vow," also based on a true happening. This young newly married couple were in a car wreck. The wife lost her memory, and didn't remember her husband or that they were married. The two started their romance all over again, built a love life for the two of them, and stayed together there after, but, her memory never did return, but she and her husband started all over again, and built a lasting marriage.  :D

We have gotten a quite a few movies from the library that are series, and have two or three discs with mulitiple movies on them. They are fun to watch, but with that many watching them becomes time consuming. We just tried to watch, "Mid Summer Murders," and Carol found them to be too gruesom, so we turned it off early. I am glad, because Carol has more of an appetite for that kind of viewing than I do, and I would rather not watch some of them, but I watch them also to keep Carol company.

We watched a couple of seasons of "Emily of Full Moon." They are interesting and fun to watch being filled with drama, and a little humor. We fast forwarded past some of them, because some had stuff in them about witch craft, and we don't llike that! They are fun to watch because they have some good real to life materials in them! :D :D

It actually has some good thoughts/lesson. At least, that is how i see with the movie. It is a good one. Made my husband jumped off the couch. I had fun caught him on the act
