Today the forum was discontinued for a little while, because it has been upgraded from version 3.0.4 to the latest version 3.0.11. The newest version has some more features and most of all, it allows more security checks.

You picked the right time to upgrade, mystic, because I was out working, and I didn't even know that it was discontinued or that it was down, or anything. The new upgraded version sounds like it will be an improvement over what we had. Good job, mystic.

I think what Crisi was saying is the you are bless with the gift of being a genius! Thank you for all your efforts here!

Today I noticed that all the avatars were corrupted during the last upgrade and didn't display anymore. I installed the phpBB STK now, and could restore all avatars. We have some new cool functions now to help users. For example, we can merge 2 users or do many other fancy things

The database is completely clean now (it had some strange extra columns). The new simplified registration is hacker-proof and behaves well.

It sounds like things are getting better all the time for the way this forum is, and how it works, and the fact that it is becoming less problematic. It sounds like taking care of one problem sometimes creates another problem or makes it noticeable. You are doing a great job, mystic! Thank you again!

Yes, Crisi, mystic has been an answer to our prayers to take care of this place. This forum is a wonderful place to come. When fewer people come then it is like Smiley said, "There is an echo in this room." For anyone who can afford the little amount of time to post it is very rewarding. I enjoy responding to other people's ideas, and also starting some of my own. The ones who are hoping to attract a mate, this is the place to be seen. As people are themselves/project themselves then those around us get to see what we are like. I think more people would be active on this forum if they realized what it could do for them. Well, there are a few of us who keep this place going, and we are thankful for the others who chime in, even once in a while! The more, the merrier!

Edit, Quote, and other buttons are back now. I didn't know that a separate language pack was installed in the past. So, they are fixed now. Please, post a note if you find something not working as expected.

Yes Ed, every change makes a new problem come up. But slowly everything is improved.

Today spammers found another way through. There are tens of registrations of new fake accounts, posting rubbish to the forum. I am now strengthening the registration form with a definitive mod. Please, keep me update if there are any problems while posting, because the mod also checks each post.

mystic, this is very funny, because I didn't miss any of those buttons! I don't often quote lately, but just answer the post in my next post, so I would not have missed the quote button, although I used to use it all the time! I guess I am so perfect that my work has been so error free that I have not needed the edit! I am being facisious, but of course I don't make regular us of the edit, but sometimes I think of something I want to add, and then I use the edit button! You are doing a great job of improving things, mystic, and all of us appreciate that immensely!
