Today we had elephant ears to eat for breakfast and a glass of milk. An elephant ear is a very think pie doe crust with cinimon and sugar sprinkled over it. We went to town, met with our daughter to help her move a washer, a clothes dryer, and a freezer that we heard someone was planning to steal. We had other plans for the day, but when we heard that we went right to town met with our daughter helped her load those appliances, and now I need to find room in my storage for them which will be possible but will take some work. They are planning to move this 14 foot by 70 foot mobile home to their property out of town on the Indian Reservation near their family, and they have friends who have big trucks, so it will not be hard for them to do. They just need to get it moved sooned as it has been vandelized some.
We then went to Walmart, killed some time, and Carol bought a few items; a rack to put shoes on; she doesn't have as many as Emelda.
She bought a couple of things for the kids also.
Then we went to a speghettie feed! I don't care about speghettie, but I ate some, and there were green beans and lettuce salad as well. I drank more punch than I have in ten years!
The Pentecostal Church of God church where we went last Sunday, and I think we are going to go this Sunday put it on. We ate, then there were 5 people playing guitars, and one playing a harmonica, and it was good. The music was mostly gospel and inspirational with a few country music tunes thrown in. They crank up the volume, and so we sat a distance away and still enjoyed it. They played with enthusiasm, and it was fun to listen to. After the music they had a desert auction. The money from that as well as the money they charged us all to eat is going to Christian charities in the community, so it was for a good cause. We ate, but we didn't buy any desert as Carol is a diabetic, and it is not good for me to eat too much of that kind of food. We saw Carol's cousins who came from Seattle Washington to be with some of their other cousins, so that was fun too.
Now I need to work in my storage to make room for our daughter's 3 appliances that we brought up the hill. It turned out to be a fun day, and then we plan to go to church in the morning again. We were going to start attending at Christmas time of last year, but our grandkids' family irrupted into this huge fight that lasted for 8 months. The ones in this huge fight quit going to that church, but we didn't know that, and our granddaughter didn't feel comfortable going to that church until the conflict was resolved. Now there is peace again and she even goes to stay with her family members with whom she had the problems, so we are all happy about that.
