MAINTENANCE NOTICE

Yesterday there were 507 members,today we were down to 479. I would much rather have a few active members than a bunch that never post at all. I hope that all of the quiet members realize how welcome they are to participate.

When there are so many belonging to the forum who are up to no good, it is better to have fewer members. I understand that part of the reason there were so many members is that many of them were spammers, and some of them had multiple registrations here on the forum, so we really didn't have as many members as we thought we did. I know before all the bad started coming down, I was amazed and in unbelief at how many member were listed, and how few people actually were participating. I am glad to have those members registered as long as their motives are pure, and they have no intentions of doing the forum harm! I am glad to have the silent ones reading, because that means there is the potential there for love matches for people who want them, and all those people have to do is appeal to someone reading, who will think or say, I would sure like to get to know that person better, and then they become brave and show their face, so to speak, actually writing a post. Yes, the people only reading need to get brave, start posting, and find out how much fun it is to express themselves, and be seen and heard from other people. This is a good place to be, and fun for all of us!

I think a lot of people sign up and then are too shy to post.Others might find the site while surfing,like it enough to sign up,but then forget to bookmark the site and not be able to find their way back!
Whatever the reason,they would get a lot more benefit if they would simply join in a conversation or two. . . . .

Yes, Smiley, I did that with Facebook, when I first got on it. Our daughter talked me into signing in and registering with Facebook, so that we could keep track of our grandson who was in South Africa at the time several years ago. I then forgot all about it, and when our daughter came from Spokane, she helped me get it started, inviting friends, including them, and so on. It was my account, but Carol did everything with it, so I got credit whether it was good or bad, because my name was the only one on it. It then got too complicated to suit her with too many friends and posts, so she got her own, and then a little later she got rid of her's and came back to mine, adding her name to it. I was fairly active for a while, but with all these projects I have been working on it got too time consuming for me, so now she is the one who does the facebooking. I quickly read sometimes, but that is all I do.

You are right I think about what happens to people who register, and yes they would find injoyment if they would just get on and do some posting! All the rest of us would love seeing their presence as well!

I am not sure IF links appear correctly in the birthday emails; so, the first ones who receive it, please advise if you could read it just fine and the links were correct.
