In a committed relationship I think that both parties should enjoy satisfying each other sexually... it's a win-win situation!
Intimacy is important and special, I'm sure there are lots of general health benefits from a satisfying and active sex life, but I also think that if either partner isn't keen to engage in intimacy/love-making/sex then it could be quite a bad sign for the health of the relationship in a broader sense. Less intimacy/sex means less endorphins released, less happy feelings, and then you also have an issue of the negative emotions arising from one party getting stone-walled.
If I found my self in the situation that Tigger gave an example of (partner being more interested in eating crisps and watching TV) then I think rather than just being irritated I might take it as a flag of some underlying problem. I mean, I enjoy the odd potato chip as much as the next person, but if I was with someone and she preferred to eat potato chips over making love with me???
hehehe... well, I don't imagine I'd ever end up with someone who had such poor judgment.
Regarding the watching TV part... well... women do say they're good at multi-tasking.
Yeah... t's a two way street. Men and women both have needs and desires...
... mMmMmm grass
I have heard some joking stories about wives sometimes excusing themselves from bedroom activities by saying "Not now, dear, I have a headache", but I was previously in a long-term relationship with a woman who was convinced that sex cured headaches... hehe win-win situation again!
