Postby chaychay644 » Sun Mar 28, 2010 6:24 pm

I just wanna share this email I've received from my officemate...Please Read:
Get this sent around to your contacts ASAP....

we don't need this spreadingaround.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS:
You should be alert during the next days:

Do not open any message with an attached

file called 'Invitation' regardless of who sent it,

It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch
which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your

e-mail address in his/hercontact list, that is why you should send this e-mail toall your contacts. It is

better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it..

If you receive a mail called ' invitation' , though

sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down

your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by

Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered by McAfee, and there

is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

SEND THIS E-MAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW ,

COPY THIS E-MAIL AND SEND! IT TO YOUR FRIENDS

AND REMEMBER: IF YOU SEND IT TO THEM, YOU WILL BENEFIT ALL OF US .

And the moral of the story is:

BACKUP YOUR IMPORTANT DATA on a regular basis. At a minimum get a flash drive, memory stick, whatever you want to call it and save your important data on to it so that if your PC fails you have not lost that investment. Best of all if you can afford it get two and alternate.

Can I sing the praises of Windows Home Server. It just sucks all the data off a connected PC every day and after the initial backup it usually takes about ten minutes a PC. My kids would not backup their PCs, "its boring Dad". I must have had the Home Server about 2 years and I have had to do 4 restores. One for a new hard disk and three because a PC was not working as expected. It is just so easy and I keep data going back six months. The kids have never lost any homework.

Yes, viruses are destructive. We try to same pictures, etc on a regular basis, and this computer is over due for a redoing. In the past I have encourted problems that kept me reformatting often, but I have not had a problem like that for a long time. The computer still needs to be redone, but it is not critical. :D :D :D :D

Seems all I can heard about the news are crimes, health and unemployment. Filipino in Syria wants to go back to the country since crime rate and war are going on. Family members are worried about their relatives in the said country because of the on going war by the new peoples army and their government, as the news said, last night.

Another bad new is about the dengue all over the country. The hospitals in Quezon City are exhausted and the bad thing is that on a bed at about 4x12 foot , there are 3-5 patients. So hard to think about the situation. There are no enough blood platelet at the blood bank since the victim are increasing. Any one to donate is very much appreciated. :)
