I remember a story that my pastor told a few months ago after he took a trip to the Middle East, and visited Jerusalem. He said that he saw directions in Hebrew cut into the stone walkways that gave directions to the houses of prostitution, and that those had been there before Jesus lived.
It is no secret that prostition is the world's oldest profession. Why does it exist? Because men have a physical and biological need for sexual gratification.
Sexual intimacy exists all over the globe without love being in the equation in the form of prostitution, and it has existed since long before words were ever recorded. ut that does not mean that it brings real satisfaction. That only comes through a couple bonding together through shared experiences and ideas, and it requires time to build that sort of togetherness.
True passion is really not like a light switch that can be turned on or off in an instant. It is like a fire that needs to be pampered and kindled and fed with the fuel of care and love for it to burn bright and hot. Sex without true emotional feelings can never truly satisfy the participants involved...it is only sex, like 'justmovenalong' wrote. But maken love...well now, that is a different story.

Prostitution is rampant. sex without love is prostitution (if not married). Love is all that matters, so sex without love is nothing. Marry a wrong woman is very dangerous. It makes life like a hell.

Sometimes many people are driven by there feeling and sometimes not using their head. Maybe the best thing to do is to know well the person what is he or she really has intention in mind of having a relationship

Yes, there could be sex without love and one example of that is prostitution and those what we call "one night stand", and those that are driven by soaring orgasm that they engage it to just anyone. There is love without sex, yes abolutely there is. Just like the love of God to us, friendly love, family love. The most amazing love without sex is the love of the couple between husband and wife. Let's say the couple couldnt engage sex in a month because the wife undergoes some kind of a medical treatment. The sacrifice that both endure and the patience, that's true love. ;)
