Get Away

Everyone needs a break to get away once in a while. Tomorrow after I do some job checking, by calling business places to ask for a job, we will travel 3 & 1/2 hours to our other identical twin daughter's house. We usually take our dog with us, and he gets along very well with the other dogs where we are going, but with the grandkids came the big dog that our 11 year old granddaughter is afraid I am claiming, and I love that dog, but I know he is hers. He is too much dog for her, but he is her dog. And also came a little dog, shitzu, and a yellow crown amazon bird that is the size of a banti chicken, talks and whistles constantly including whistling tunes that our daughter taught him which is amazing. So with that many animals Carol made a deal with our 16 year old granddaughter here to to water two or three trees and take care of all the animals while we are gone until Friday.
Where we are going to our daughter's place their, they have a double wide almost exactly the same size as ours, only with a little bit different floor plan. Also they got theirs new and kept it in great condition, and I bought ours used, damaged, and trashed, with trash inside of it, so I am still working on ours, although we are making great progress and it is already pretty nice. We have redone about half of the house, and the rest is okay and eventually will be really nice too. The next effort is to plumb running water into our house, and I project that will be done sometime this summer. Then I will have to walk scoobie twice as far so that I will get the exercise that I will miss from not having to haul water.
Our kids there are into poultry. Our son-in-law there loves chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, and they have some of all of them. They also have two cats, two dogs, a few goats, and will shortly have a small horse that my older brother has for them. My daughter there informed me that I will be helping her dig a few noxious weeds, so that will be fine. We are planning to go to the malls and to Costco Warehouse store to buy some food in the bulk that we eat a lot of, and lots of oatmeal that we can cook and feed Scoobie. It should be fun. It is near to Spokane Washington, and we may even get to the Goodwill to get some nice clothes.
