What bad stories in life? can you make it specific? There are lots of bad stories in life. For me, i remember the past because I do not want to give my heart to many men, I want to develop a genuine friendship with people and if relationship grows then it is my prayer that God will grant me to be his future mate and I do not want to give my heart be broken, I remember because I hope that I should have not wasted energy and feelings and end up disappointed. I remember because I do not want to happen the same thing.

Crisi, I think I remember a quote, and I don't remember who it was from, but it goes something like this. "What we learn from history is that we do not learn from history." That is saying that often times we don't learn from our mistakes. The Children of Israel in their wanderings repeated their mistakes over and over. God would punish them after which they would repent, then they would have a few good years, after which they would forget about God, then He would punish them again, then they would repent, and have a few more good years. That cycle happened to them over and over. Usually a new generation would turn away from God, and so that process took a quite a few years.

That is great, Crisi, when we can learn from our mistakes and not repeat them. Often times what happens to us is not entirely our fault, or maybe not our fault at all. God can help us to be more careful and not put ourselves in places where we end up with trouble. You, Crisi, had a good take on this subject!

God does know our future, and He can and will guide us, and yes we need to give our lives and our futures to Him, and seek His will in that!
