Day Person or Night Person

Are you a day person or a night person? When I was young I worked for both my Dad and my older brother. My Dad was a day person. He believed in getting up early, working hard, then quiting early for rest, and a good night's sleep. He was naturally full of energy and a go get them, type a person. No grass grew under his feet. When I was working for him I had to get up early, work hard, and quit early in the evening. My older brother was a night person. He farmed, and I drove tractor, combine, built fence, picked rock, and other such jobs for him. When I worked for my brother except for wheat harvest we would get out later and later, and we would work later and later, until sometimes we were still working at 10 p.m. During wheat harvest we would get out there early, very early, and we would still be working as it was getting dark. I naturally gravitated to his style of living. I worked swing shift for 6 years in saw mills, working from late afternoon until 2 a.m. I naturally graviate towards night living if I don't have to get up in the morning for any reason. I have worked jobs also for many years in which I had to get up early in the morning, so out of necessity I would go to bed early at night. If I don't have anything I have to be up early for I tend to stay up late. I think the general opinion is that people who are day people are better off than the night people. I'm not sure that is true, or if it makes any difference. I have to be up, not really early in the morning, but fairly early, and here I am still up and going at almost 1:00 a.m.! Unbelievable!
