Why Woman Cry?

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"

" All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said: " When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

There are people who don't feel like seeing by other people crying coz for them its a sign of weakness...

Crying is not a sign of weakness, infact it is a sign of strength in the sense that we are not afraid to show what we really feels..
there are many reasons why women cry...sometimes it is caused by pain, fear & happiness...and as a women we do not view it as weakness whenever we saw someone cries..but men does when they see men crying..but either way, male or female I see it as a sign of strength,.it just happened that there are sensitive people and get very emotional very quickly and cry a lot, and then there are other people who are not, some people can handle their emotions well until a braking point and some people have no control over them. Crying is just proof of our existence, people have feelings and when those feelings are hurt, we need to let it out somehow. Women are not the only ones who cry, men cry too, they just don't do it as often, because well, it is called the "The male EGO" and they are tough and their to protect, they don't want anyone to know that sometimes they just need to cry as well..

There are differences between men and women, and between invididuals, that predispose some people to cry more than others. I agree that it's not necessarily a sign of weakness, it's just a sign of someone's emotional state, and can be a sign that someone really cares about something.

It's true that some guys will try to avoid crying in order to protect their ego or image, that's in no small part due to social conditioning. I think that things are changing in some societies but in a lot of cultures it has long been considered desirable that men be stoic and not too emotional. I'm from Australia and I think that the culture here is changing slowly so that there is less disapproval for men crying, but I still think that it's looked down on by many here for men to cry other than in cases of extreme emotional hardship. To the extent that women cry more than men, I certainly don't look down on them. I haven't looked into any studies on the matter but I would expect that crying occasionally when faced with a lot of emotional stress would be healthy, providing some kind of physical and emotional release. And to be able to cry in front of someone without fear of being judged probably serves to affirm and reinforce bonds of trust.

I think that sometimes men cry differently to women too, not just that they do it less often. There are not many people in the world who I would be willing to cry in front of but when I have a partner she must be one of those. If the need arises it's usually just some tears welling in the eyes and maybe one rolling down the cheek while keeping the chin up but not avoiding eye contact with someone that I trust (so that they know I trust them and value their support, and I'm not afraid to show my true feelings, but also that I'm still in control of myself and will do my best to deal with things in a positive way).

Personally, I'll admit that I've cried this year AND last year... before that I think I would have to go back maybe another five years prior, and before that probably at least another five year gap or more. I suspect there are probably guys out there who haven't cried for decades. I really don't mind making my true feelings known to someone I love and trust, and I'm all for partners being 'emotionally available' (to use the contemporary parlance), I just think that sometimes guys have a higher threshold as to what level of emotion they will reach before crying.

Hmm... this subject reminds me of some old songs; Crying by Roy Orbison - I don't like a lot of his stuff but that song is a classic to me, maybe he was a new age guy before his time singing such an openly emotional song; Crying in the Chapel by Elvis Presley;

Crying is good. It is one way of expressing your feelings. A lot of people got stroke or cardiac arrest because they can't express their feelings and just hide it inside their hearts.

They said, if the mother who is pregnant is always cry and get emotional during pregnancy, most likely the baby would be emotionally high person, could it be a baby boy or girl. This is very true in the case of my sister. Her 2 sons are very emotional and get easily cry. They are already 16 and 8, and i always notice that they are very close to us and express their hearts through emotion.

I saw my father cry when he was dying. And the time he was bedridden her tears fall on his cheeks. He cried because he knows he will leave us and he cried because he still want to live on earth with his loveones. Crying is part of our lives, we are human and as a person we are created with deep emotion. :P

This post seems to have changed into why men cry too. My brother and I, little kids at the time, went with my Dad to the funeral home where they had his Dad's body. We sat in the car, and experimented with a cigarette lighter in a brand new 1954 Chevy 210 car. We tried it out on a dash cover over the speedometer, and burned a nice little round indentation. Dad was not pleased, but he did not get angry over it either. I think he questioned me about what happened, and I leveled with him on it, and he was pleased about that.

That Sunday morning after him visiting his Dad in the funeral home, he sat in the car after church and cried, I mean not just a few tears but he bawled, and cried and cried. His Dad had beaten him with a fence post, and my Dad told me that we was a bad boy, but he thought that was a little harsh. So my Dad left home never to return as a child, and he lived with various people working on ranches. His Dad left his youngest son with an older brother, had his youngest daughter adopted out, put his wife in an insane asylm, which a husband and a doctor could do back then with very little good reason, and he disappeared for 20 some years. My older brother told me that all of the kids lost respect for their Dad, but in his older years they all had him live with them, including my Dad.

I think it was just extreme sorrow over what happened to their family, with the abuse and breaking up, but they, and I know for a fact, that my Dad still loved his Dad inspite of the way they had been mistreated, and the abuse, and break up of the family. My Dad told me that all of them, his brothers and sisters thought that their Dad should have taken care of their Mom and should not have put her in a mental institution. My older brother told me that he remembers him and his Dad, our Dad, visiting their mother, and my brother told me that there was nothing wrong with the lady.

When my Dad got inthe car to drive away to the airport for a flight to Texas to have a heart bypass operation, I hugged him and cried like a baby. I think down deep I knew I would never see him alive again, and I didn't. He told all of us including my Mom the chances that the doctors gave him for recovery, and talked about what he was going to do when he came home, But that night he wrote my Mom a letter, and told her not to worry about him or feel bad, because he was going to be with the Lord, and he did. I am crying now just writing about that. My mother lived alone without him, and thinking about him for many years, and she died in 2005, and now she is with the Lord, my Dad, and many of her family and loved ones. My Dad was born on July 3rd, 1907, so he would be pretty old if he were still alive. In about 5 months I will be the same age as my Dad was when he died, but my daughter reminds me that I am strong, active, and healthy, and my Dad's heart was diseased. I can still work like I could when I was 20 years old, and the Lord has blessed me in that I so far don't need any medications for anything, and I am happy and thankful for that. My poor wife's health is fragile, she doesn't have much strength or endurance, she had diabetes, she takes lots of medications, and she tries hard to take care of herself. She has lots of bad days because of poor health, and I am very sorry for her. We just do the best we can and enjoy the memories of many years together. :D :D :D :D

I cry when i am happy and when i am sad. It is my way of expressing my feelings. I feel better after i cry and can release the joy and pain. I wish you all the best to those who search for love.
