Shirts Made in Philippines

Is it possible to have reasonable price shirts custom made when visiting the Philippines? I say custom made because I am hard to fit, tall and slim but very wide shoulders. Hard to find good fit in the USA, probably very hard in the Philippines.

Several years ago while living in Korea, I had clothes custom made in a tailor shop. Very nice and reasonable price. Lots of people did it.

I was wondering if traveling to Philippines, just go with a few clothes and have some tropical shirts custom made there in Philippines?

Anyone know?

BBG, I don't know any people personally in the Philippines who would custom make your clothes, but I can tell you that there are such people there, because my nephew's mother-in-law lived North of Manila before she and her husband came to the USA, and that is what she did was to custom make clothing for people. So I know there are people out there like that, but it is just a matter of finding them. If someone reading this forum knows that information it would be helpful if you would give some input! Thank you! :D :D :D :D

I have never had clothing tailored in the Philippines but I know several who did. However most of my time was spent in the Manilla area and that was quite a while ago.I imagine that any larger city would have a number of tailor shops that could hook you up. Beware though,I do remember seeing locally made shirts that looked like they were made out of Grandmas` lace tablecloth  Anyone else know the ones I`m talking about?

You would either blend in, or stand out with Grandmas` lace tablecloth, I'm not sure which!  My Dad always said that he didn't care what he looked like as long as he felt okay. Actually, I don't think he was serious; he was telling my brother that he shouldn't be so fussy about the way he looked, but that was okay that my brother wanted to look his best. But he was over the top with it. But, it was important to him. :D :D :D :D
