We usually spend our birthday, December 2nd together, since we both share it, but this year we had to return after Thanksgiving because of our other granddaughter living with us and needing to be back home for school. Normally we would go to Spokane for Thanksgiving and return home any time after December 2nd. The little one in the picture is her cousin.

Pictures taken at Leavenworth, Washington, a Bovarian like town between our place and Seattle, Washington. This was the day of the lighting of the Christmas lights at all the business places. My cousin has a store in this little town.

My birthday celebration, December 2nd, and the 65th birthday! Snow icecream and peach pie; yum, yum!

A friend was having our granddaughters guess which hand he had the sock in. He was putting it behind his back, pretending it was in his hand, and of course their guess was wrong every time! Carol and I were having fun watching them play that game, and the girls couldn't figure out why they miss guessed each time!

Cookie decorating at our house with 3 of our granddaughters

Two of our granddaughters were making a gingerbread house at our daughter's house.

Our other daughter visiting her daughters who live with us. Actually their Dad got custody of the younger one, so she lives with him and visits with us, and the older one lives with us. We love our daughter, and all our kids and grandkids. This daughter lives in Nespelem part of the time, and Desautel the other part of the time with her Native American family.

We had Christmas dinner at Carol's neice's cabin in the mountains. Then we drove back to Oroville, on the US & Canadian border for desert and visiting with Carol's nephew. Carol's nephew wearing the baseball cap was a talented pianist. He played for a time with church groups then he played in entertainment places and sang, and we went to listen to him once with some other relatives. He had a stroke and lost the use of his right arm. His sister said that he can still go all over the keyboard with one hand and make it sound better than she can with two. I challenged him, telling him that I would play if he would, well he is self conscious now and doesn't want anyone to hear him play. I played for them all, and I am still learning. Carol's other nephew asked me to play, so I played "God Be With You Until We Meet Again," and it was fun. A little person joined me on the keyboard and helped me play which was fun too!
