Carol and I debated whether or not to go to the funeral dinner, but after the service we decided to, as there was really good food, but also many of our friends were there, and we were able to visit with them. An amazing thing happened there was a dark chocolate pie on the desert table, and no one was eating it. Maybe they didn't like dark chocolate, I don't know? I took one piece with all my other food, as they say, "Life is uncertain, so eat desert first!" Anyway when I finished my food no one was eating that chocolate pie, so I had a second piece. Then after I ate that, I didn't want whoever made that pie to get their feelings hurt thinking no one liked their chocolate pie, so I had a third piece. I was full of dark chocolate pie, and I was very satisfied!

On the way home we stopped at a little cemetary out of this town to look for Carol's great uncle Jim, or his grave anyway. They had a list of names and a map showing where everone was buried. We found the place where he is supposed to be buried, but no markers, stones, or any identification for him. Carol thought that her grandfather, her Dad's Dad was buried there also which was her great uncle's brother. We found on the map where it said there was a baby buried with his same name, and Carol is wondering if that is a mistake, because she didn't think there was a baby buried with his exact name. The other strange thing is that where it said this baby was buried there was a man bruied who had the same last name as her grandfather's second wife's last name! We know that Carol's great uncle Jim is there, because we found his grave years ago. We think her grandfather is there, but we could not find him.
