Trouble With the Forum Site

I was wondering if anyone else experienced trouble with the forum site besides me? I had trouble posting during the last number of hours for some reason. I would get messages like, "The site has exceeded it resources." I also got messages like "The web page could not be loaded." I would have trouble getting it to load up at all, and then clicking the submit button for instance would take down the page. Once just clicking the happy button took down the page, and I was not happy because I lost everything I had written, and had to write it again, but that is okay! I got started to saving what I have written, and then it worked enough so that I got careless and did not save it, and then the page failed causing me to lose what I had written. It seems to be working now, and I hope anyone who had my experiences will not be discouraged, but get in here and post, because it is working now, only I am still copying before submitting in case I lose it again. But then soon I will get careless and not copy anything after it works well for a while, and then I will lose something I am writing again. But that is okay. Anyone who uses these computers and gets on the internet understands that scenerio! Good luck to everyone on here, and keep up the enthusiasm!

The forum site is working great now. I am still copying before I submit just in case, because while the site was having trouble I lost several things I had written. When I clicked submit, it all went away, not to be found again. At the time it was not working right, it was very slow, and lots of various error messages were appearing. letting me know it was not working correctly. Now it works like a charm again! I look forward to seeing more posts from you all!

Yes, the Resource Limit Has Been Reached message is appearing all too often recently, and that is because so many spammers are getting on the forum at the same time, and posting spam. That means some of those need to get off the site before anyone else can get on. I have asked my hosting company about it, and they say they do not offer tech support for a phbb forum, so I have been searching message boards about a solution, but haven't found one yet. All you can do is to wait awhile, and then hit the refresh button. Sorry that you have lost some of your messages, but the spammers (mostly from China) are causing this havoc on the forum.

Thank you, Sir Michael, for explaining what was going on. Before it was a mystery, and now the mystery is understood. It is sad that there has to be people doing things that make if difficult for other people! Actually it is not a good feeling when you lose something you have been working on, but it is to be expected, and all of us have experienced losing e-mails and documents we have written. It is just what happens sometimes. I have gotten pretty good at saving things when things are not working, but every once in a while you just lose something no matter what you do, and that is to be expected and is okay.

I imagine other people have had problems as well, but now I know that Red, was in the boat with me, and there is a reason it was happening.
