Computer Reformat

Postby Edwin » Thu Dec 27, 2012 3:56 pm

Some of you may have noticed that I have been off/out for a few hours. I could be traveling, visiting, or have the computer disabled. I decided the time had come to reformat the harddrive on this computer. I have been thinking that I would do this for some time now, but I didn't get to it until yesterday. I see tell tail signs that tell me that I need to redo the computer, like the email behaving strangely, when emails are dropped randomly, and then I have to hunt for them. Also we down loaded a program to open up a newer word document that I don't have software for, and we got enough stuff tagging along to bog down the computer, although it worked good enough to keep going with it. We have been trying to prepare for the reformat for some time, taking pictures off, and then not getting around to it, so them we put more pictures on, complicating things, but finally we did it. I learned how to save the emails and then restore them, so that made taking it down less traumatic, because I didn't have to stress about what I might be losing, because it is all saved.

It feels good to have a clean computer again; dejunkafied! It always takes a while to remember what programs I am missing, find them, and download them, but life is back to normal again, more or less!  :D
