What are you doing now?

This might be kind of a challenge for a posting subject. It might take you off guard, but it might be interesting. What are you doing now? Sometimes in the past I have been embarrassed by someone asking on the telephone "what are you doing." What do you do then. Do you get creative and lie to them, or do you humble yourself and tell the truth. Sometimes we have been asked, "What did you do today?" and sometimes that can be embarrassing, especially if you don't want to tell. Well, since the end of supper and our movie watching, I have been playing 2 church hymns/songs, and then I come here and write a little bit. Carol is on the other computer, but no facebook, which is what she usually does, but she can still play her computer card game which she enjoys a lot. The boredom factor is low when I do this because it is interesting to play the church songs, and then getting up and moving after playing a couple of them, and then doing this keeps me awake as well! So what are you doing at this present time?

Since was not able to write more lately, now I am trying to write here a lot.
Hope that everyone has a good day ahead of time.

What am I doing now - I am wondering about the evolution of Jaderune.com into Christian-Pilipina.com. Michael has been the owner for a few years now and often things need to change to survive. 'Jade' and 'Rune' gave the website a personal feel whilst 'Christian Pilipina' may reflect it's target audience.
I have just had a look at Christian-Pilipina.com and it looks very professional, but in my eyes loses the inviting and friendly approach given by the slightly amateurish (that is a compliment) feel of the existing site. I suppose what I am getting at is that the existing site feels like someones hobby and invites trust, whereas the new site seems to look like a business.
Just my thoughts - any other views?

I thought I am lost..lol . I opened jaderune then i opened another window for my facebook then the title is no longer jaderune..am I lost?
It is a good change. I am sure there will be more that will discover this site. It is true when I introduced it to my friends before they always wonder because it does sound private. God bless on this change. Jaderune came from the name of former owner of this site. I remember them sending me emails telling me not to delete my profile until i found one for real. ha ha I was annoying to them way back then. But I owe it a lot to the former owner Jade and Rune. I think two of my college friends that got married from this site too. And many more that I may not have known. And oh it was the neighbor of my cousin that introduced me this site and she's happily married living in Washington now.

There are going to be 2 sites. Jaderune will continue to exist. Christian-pilipina will allow people of both sexes to post their own profiles and photos without me having to do that manually, as I have done on jaderune for the past 5+ years. The new site is searchable, whereas jaderune is not. And according to mystic, there is no way to add a search option to an HTML site, which jaderune is. As far as I know, christian-pilipina is not officially launched yet. It has no profiles, and the set up is far from complete. It may not actually be in operation for a few more months. All it has at this time is this forum. Plus the new site can have google ads that can help to offset the expense of running the 2 sites. Google cancelled the ads on jaderune over 2 years ago when I had someone fraudulently clicking on a multitude of ads in order to cause problems for the site. Longtime members may remember the people who were constantly causing problems. Plus, I need some way to make some money to run these sites because I am going to be on a fixed, limited income soon.
The host server for jaderune was always overloaded because of the forum. I have had many warnings from the hosting company about the problems that jaderune forum was creating for their server. Therefore, mystic suggested that we move the forum over to the new server for christian-pilipina which has much more disc space, and is lightening fast since it is 'cloud based'. Since the forum will now be based on the christian-pilipina server, the name was changed to match the name in the browser windows.
So the main change to jaderune is that the forum will link to Christian Pilipina Pen Pals. Everything else stays the same. Hopefully, the new site will reach a broader audience, and bring more people to join in the discussions on this forum. To me, that is a positive step.
Both sites will be free to everyone.

Thanks for clearing that up Michael. Good luck with the launch of the new site. I remember you reporting the problems you had and the loss of Google Ads.
You mention you will be on a fixed income. I assume from that (apologies if this is an incorrect assumption) you are retiring. If so I wish you a long and happy retirement.
I see one member on the new website, Mystic, he is obviously getting a head start on everybody else
(just joking Mystic and thanks for the work you are doing keeping the site running and for the improvements.)

Yes, I am going to retire soon, but I am not sure when. I had hoped to have crossed that threshold by now, but haven't reached the doorway yet. But I have been shipping my things there little by little, so I will be ready to set up household when I do get there.
Mystic's photo is there because he is testing how the registration process works. I think his is the only photo that is on the site since it has more tweaks needed before it becomes operational. I will let everyone know when the ste is ready for profiles.
Thank you for your well wishes, and thank you and all of the other members for your continuing participation on the forum.
Best wishes,
Michael

That is a good idea that someone would retire and enjoy life. It is better to relax and see the good thing the Lord has given in the past and in the present.
How i wish i can retire soon also to have enough time to serve and to have more time for my family. And how i wish i can play more piano and guitar.
