Landscaping and planting flowers

One of my hobbies is planting flowers as well as fruit trees. During my weekend, I use to stay home and do something worthwhile. One of this is planting flowers as it gives beauty and color to the house.

Few of my pictures that I took are as follows. Those flowers that I have are already grown since couple of weeks or more before I transfer to the ground or soil. Also some of my landscape at home to make it beautiful.

It has been my desire that if God grants me to marry in His will, it is really my desire to plant flowers and stay at home. I want to be a house wife and do the household things like planting flowers, cleaning the house, doing laundry, cooking and a lot more.

How about you? Do you have some hobby that makes your house nice to look at or make it presentable? Please share your activities here.

Love to collect flowers that are simple but good for the eyesight. I am a kind of person that loves nature. So I love plants.

There is something primal about working in the garden which really appeals to me.While I plant mostly vegetables,I do always ensure that I plant some things simply for the beauty involved. I also get a lot of satisfaction from sharing the bounty of the garden with as many people as I am able to.
I salute your successes in your garden. It looks great.

Yes, Crisi's garden looks wonderful! I agree; plant the vegetables and the fruits, but don't forget the beautifications with the flowers. When I was with my friends in Manila with my friend's filipina wife's families, I was impress by where and how they lived. They lived very simply because I don't think they had much money. Their houses were very small, small rooms. In the house we went into, my friend's filipina wife's brother's house was very small. We sat in a very small area that was like a porch that was screened in. I was impressed with the way they had flowers and plants off all kinds outside their houses, and they were beautiful. I would not mind living in them, and living the way they live at all. They seem to be happy as well. :D :D

Wow, Crisi! Those are some beautiful flowers! The Bible says that we will reap if we faint not! Many times it is hard to do the sowing of the seeds, because you can't see the results, but with faith in your heart you can see into the future what is going to come of it in time! What ever we do we are to do it with all our might, and do it as unto the Lord. Many times we have a hard time staying with our efforts when we don't see the results, but we must be faithful, and if we are faithful God will reward us. I attempted to learn to play the piano several times in my adult life, but I gave up each time because I tried to start out more advanced than I was capable of, and so I quickly got discouraged and stopped working at it. I think what made the difference for me when I really started learning to play the piano, is the many years that I played trombone gave me a knowledge of scales and the notes written on the page. So one vacation time while visiting from where we were living and working, I sat down at our daughter's piano, opened a Christmas song book, and I was surprised and delighted that I could play as well as I did, because I had not tried it for years and years. So, I thought to myself, I am going to learn to play the piano, and I got on eBay, bought a piano, and I have been playing it ever since. I decided no matter how tedious and slow the progress I was going to stay with it, and while still working I played every spare moment that I had. Then after retiring I played the piano hour after hour all day long and many times into the night. I am not spending that much time anylonger, but I am reaping the rewards of all those many hours that I put in playing. I still do the same: I get a church hymn song book, and I play every song in that book, whether I know the songs or not. I am not the accomplished pianist that I would like to be, but I am doing really well, playing is more fun and rewarding all the time! :D :D

The first years we lived here, we put in the yard fence for our doggie, Scooby. I had a lot of walnut trees that I transplanted from down in the valley at a place in town to this place. Not a single one of the many trees that I transpanted survived. We are at a high elevation with severe winters, snow, wind drifting, and really cold temperatures that do not allow walnut trees to survive. We have on beautiful yellow rose bush, a plumb tree, and some razeberry bushes that are surviving. Carol has been planting tomatoe plants in pots, and they have not done very well, but they are fun. We also have a couple of flowering plants in pots that are beautiful. We love our doggies, and we are having fun with our chickens and turkeys! :D :D
