We were able to get to church this morning, and it was so good to be there! We had a, I think they called it a brunch, from 9 a.m until 10 a.m. We ate a muffin, it was a poppy seed muffin, and it was probably the first one I have eaten in about 15 years. I stayed away from them because I was told they could cause a person to fail a drug test, and while commercially driving buses I could have been pulled for a drug test anytime, and I think I am the only driver who was never pulled for a drug test in the 10 years that I was driving buses! Anyway we had a small cut of a banana, orange slices, green grapes, slice of pineapple, juice, and it was good!
We then had a wonderful service. Just before the starting of the service they played an old tape recording of the Gaithers with many of the musicians who have since died, and it was fun to see and hear them again!
The Choir and the worship team did a really nice musical together. Then we sang some choruses. They took some new members into the church, they had a water baptismal service time, the preacher delivered an Easter sermon/message, and we went home. Very nice service!
We had our youngest daughter, her daughter, her daughter's friend come to our house for ham, salad, deviled eggs, and an egg salad! We had some peaches for desert. Then we all went over to my older brother's house for a very short and pleasant visit. We all had fun! It was very nice to be in church, and to have all the family time!
What did you do for Easter?
