Cultivating good attitude and commitment

It is easy for who is well to forget about the others who are less fortunate.
It is easy also for who is not so well to think only about saving oneself and forget about the others.

What we really forget is that we are all in a single same boat. If one is in a difficult moment, that one day will bounce back to us. The boat sinks for both, the person with problems and the person living well.
Also, there is another aspect. It's always a cycle/wheel. The one on top of the boat, in a safe place, tomorrow might end up on the bottom of the boat. Or the boat might turn upside down, and one will be trapped under the water.

We are on this boat (world) to help each other. With a positive attitude and the proper will, man can do great things and serve his Creator.

The same happens about commitment. In a relation, there are ups and downs. When there is no commitment on one side, things quickly degrade. Because the person might have been committed for a number of (temporal) reasons: interest, curiosity, vanity, pleasure, etc. But true commitment is an eternal fountain. You can drink at it and feel full, but the fountain will continue to give out its water.

I hope one day I will find a really committed girl, who keeps the family as the most sacred thing, whose love and dedication know no limit.

What are your thoughts?

You are right, mystic, that we may thing the problem is not ours, but it may take us all down before it is finished. Part of God's judgement on man in the end times, as brought out in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is that God is going to punish man for destroying the earth. We can't poison our earth, destroy it and destroy each other with nuclear and chemical weapons and get away with it. God is going to hold people accountable for the things they do. God is going to help people responsible for their inhumanity and cruelty to their fellow man. It is not right that some live in luxery while others suffer in poverty. This was part of Jesus' condemnation that He had for the rich man, in the rich man and Lazeruth sp?. The rich man lived in luxery, had wonderful things in his life, and dishonored God, while the Lazeruth suffered in poverty and want. Lazeruth was rewarded with wonderful things in Abraham's boosom, while the rich man suffered in the torments of hell where he wished to have Lazeruth sent with one drop of water to ease his torments in hell as he was in the fire, where the fire is not quenched and the worm dieth not! We also cannot destroy our own bodies with bad habits. We are the temple of God, and if we defile our bodies with destructive things, then God will destroy us. That is why it is so wrong to use drugs, misuse alcohol, and do anything that destroys our health and brings us to an early death.

Doing great things and serving our creator is what it is all about. Our chief aim as humans is to bring glory to God. If we can honor God with our lives that is the very best thing we can do! Commitment is important! God is commited to us, though He owes us nothing, He has given His love to us. Yes, commitment must be on both sides. The man must be commited to the woman, and the woman must be commited to the man, to do each other right, not to defraud, or do wrong to the other person. If we have a heart from God, we will treat each other with love and respect.

Considering the family, the marriage, the home, each other and children sacred is vital. Having no limits on our love and dedicaton to each other will keep our family, our marriage, and our home working! :D :D

YOu can do more when you pray;
You can do NOTHING more until you started to pray.

God will give you the desires of your heart. You only to trust the Lord. YOu will never find the Lord's will until you lose your will.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God

You are right, Crisi, prayer is important, necessary, urgent. There is an old saying, "Prayer moves the hand of God." Jesus said once, "This kind cometh not out, but by prayer and fasting." Too often I think we view prayer as a last resort, when prayer should be our first effort. Sometimes we say "All we can do is pray," when praying is doing a lot. The old song goes, "Trust and Obey, for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey." Yes, we lose our will to God's will, and we say as Jesus did, "Not my will, but thine be done!" :D :D

I will make an appointment with the Lord in 3 days and lift to Him my prayer.

Nothingness is in God's power, but the Lord causes the Spirit to flow on the surfaces of Nothingness.

It is important to have a close relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is my desire to seek Him first in my life. I thank the Lord that it is all by His grace that I can have a time for quiet time early in the morning. It has been a routine to me that first and foremost early in the morning, I kneel down and pray, read His word and meditate on Him. I pray to God to give me a happy heart and be a blessing to someone I meet everyday. I pray that I will be a blessing to people that I encounter and give me strength to deal with different issues in life. God has been so real to me. I assure you, seek Him first and He will always grant us a happy heart and right attitude all day long. Not only that, He will give us a heart of commitment as what we desire in life. We cannot rely on our own selves, but we can trust the Lord to give us commitment and good attitude, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Yes, our relationship with the Lord is the important relationship, and from that everything else flows. I know what you are saying mystic, that the Lord works on things that are without form and void, which is what He did in creation. He must be the center of our lives, and He must bring order out of the chaos of our lives. Without the Lord we are drifting and accomplishing nothing, but with the Lord nothing is impossible! :D :D

That's very nice. I don't have time in the morning, but at night I tend to give Him my burden. So, I pray, meditate and recite His Name. Whatever tension I might have, generally He blesses me with calm and sleep.

Yes, morning is great because that sets the tone of the day, and some people say if they don't start out the day praying to God and reading it adversely affects there entire day. Generally any time during the day is good to read and pray. I pray a lot while I am out walking which is the first of my day. It is always good to kneel as a symbol of contrition, humbling oneself before God, and that affects the attitude. Also lifting one's hands speaks of surrender to God, and it is good while worshipping God. Bowing one's head and closing one's eyes speak of reverence for God while praying. I have seen many people pray with their heads up and with eyes open, even minister, but I always thought a person should bow the head and close the eyes while praying. There is really not set way of praying, having devotions, and giving honor to God, execpt having a heart that is humble and devoted to God! :D :D

I remember my teacher teaching me how to pray thrice a day. The first thing I was doing when getting up was washing my face and going to the special angle of my house that I appointed as prayer's angle and keep holy. There, I bowed and prayed. Sometimes I used ashes, sometimes incense to offer to the Lord, and most of the times I use to light an oil lamp. I have a special olive oil just for service.

As I work distant now, and I practically even skip breakfast to reach work on time, I cannot do that anymore. I have no break during the day, so the lunch prayer is impossible too. But I always try to keep a connection. With the mind, one can always meditate, call upon the Lord, etc.

When I can attain something, I offer it to Him. When I have some shock, I connect to Him to focus my mind and get peace. Even in the hurdle of work, it is always possible to lift one's thoughts to him. I feel a complete uplift. I can see myself and the colleagues like from above, like I would be seeing a movie.
