I would open this topic with a question, "What would you expect from a husband?"

I know that entering into a married life, is not easy as eating and throwing when you are hurt. For us, filipina, it is a commitment that would last for a life time.

For instance, those women who have not been into marriage, what do you expect from a husband?

For those, who have been married right now, what are the things you wanted to be in your husband so that your relationship would last long?

Also for husband, what do you expect from a wife?

Good idea for topic. I am thankful to God for everything. I have couple of things that I want and that is for my husband to stay healthy and me too so we will be here for our children in long long time. Health is wealth and I understand the value of it now. Another thing is that we continuously serve the Lord in any we can. The rest should be worked out as a team. Marriage is like a team if the other won't cooperate, the team will fall apart.

i would expect more responsible husband now,
more loving as the years goes by,
sweetness wont change,
kindness of his heart,
trustworthy in everything,
faithful to me,
God fearing,
honest at all times
and understands me.
will be there for me in good times and bad times.

Somebody said, "Do not expect" when it comes to relationship. What does it mean? I do not understand this.

While I was able to talk to my sister in law, who just got married last November 9, 2013, she shared a lot to me while they were still bf-gf relationship with my youngest brother. She said, that she is a kind of person who really make effort for their relationship to work. To the point that she feels that my brother neglect her or ignor her. Is this true, guys, that when you feel that the woman love you or giving you attention, you try to neglect her?

She said, while they are courting stage, my brother always send her flowers, visit her, text her, and even bring food and cook for her at her apartment when she was working in Davao. Also, my brother was so sweet like giving her stufftoys with love notes and fruits with smiling face. In return, she learn to love my brother and my brother gain her heart. Unfortunately, when they are in relationship, my brother never did this. But she made effort to do things always as she usually do. To be honest, we filipina, our culture is like that. We feel happy to be treated like that.

Not only filipina, i believe, who loves to be treated like this, I read a book, entitled, "I kissed dating goodbye". There is an instance that, the man bought a can of milk in the grocery store, and he is also bringing a big bouquet of flowers. The cashier said, oh, you have a baby for the milk, and have another woman, or the taught was something like that of having another affair. The man said, well, I just love my wife".

What a wonderful husband. He love his wife so much and still dating his wife even if they are married.

Those things are small, but it meant a lot. Sometimes it is being forgotten how important to do what makes your wife love you. Maybe not all the time but still the past still there.

i adore a man who is married and still dating her wife. a very sweet loving husband , it can make your relationship and commitment stronger as the years may past. its like of one of the famous family in filipino showbiz cheska and dough kramer in there guest interview they tell how often they dates on couple and family.

i rather would not be expect... first but to know more about the relationship we have and getting to know him better..... if our relationship getting stronger maybe i can say who is he... and what to expect for him were married.. supposed to my future husband he would be more responsible, respect my decisions and loving man and sweet man.

I want a Lady who is Smart and Has a Good Head on her Shoulders .. She must also Like Animals as I do Love Dogs and Like Cats . I will not Marry a Lady whose Opinion I do not Respect . On Small things their should be No Big Decision Needed but on Big Things like a Car or a House then Both Man & Wife must say What they Think . Why Marry Someone You Do not Respect ?

If I were a man, I know what should be a husband to be. A husband must lead the family, protector, loving, provider, responsible and must live a life beyond reproach. ANd if i were a man, I also wanted to look for a woman, who is godly, loving, caring, submissive to the husband as to the Lord, as the Scripture says. Who will there for him in good times and in bad times. Etc.

A man who is god fearing, protector, responsible man, and sweet and loving to me, generous and loyal and faithful to me. and he will deserve me a woman who is faithful and loyal to him.
