New to this site but this is off topic. It is about children obligated to provide for financial needs for their parents. A parent said, "when you grow up and study hard, find a job so you can help your siblings and make our lives better". How long can children provide for their parents. The fact that children grow and have their own family and helping parents becomes one of the marital issue.

The future times will change much of our culture. Social media and 24/7 world internet will challenge a lot of pockets of our culture. Not everything that seems unchangable will remain unchanged. Exposure to different world cultures will shape us greatly. Just as Pinoys in Japan are more disciplined. We adapt when we see something better than what we have experienced.

For me children are not obligated to give but children can give out of gratitude. Parents should provide for their children. Not the way around.
