I read your story twice, and it is a difficult one is several ways. Matthew 19:29; "And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life." Those words of Jesus seem to indicate that it is a noble thing to leave family and possesions to further the gospel, Christianity, and do the work of God.

I Timothy 5:8; "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."

So we have these two conflicting ideas. One, it is noble for you to go and serve the Lord even giving up family and possessions. The other, if you neglect to provide for your own you are worse than an infidel, or unbeliever.

I think the reason people are hesitant to post on your question is that it is a very difficult question. When you make the decision you have to live with the consequences, and that is what is distressing you. I can't say that you should do one or the other, because that decision is up to you. I am sorry that it has brought great distress to you. If it brings you to the brink of disaster for your personal life I would think that you shouldn't have to sacrifice that, to cause danger for you own life.

I can understand your families' position to. They have been working to put you through college and sacrificing greatly for that effort, and now they are thinking that you are abandoning them in your efforts to serve the Lord. Your family is depending on you to help them as they helped you.

I am not going to condemn you for what you are doing or for your decision. We need to pray for you that the Lord will show you His way. He wants to take care of your family also, and I don't know how this is to be done. We all who are Christians and have faith in God need to pray that the Lord will help you, and help your family.

Others of the Christians on here, could you offer words of wisdom here for Ruffa? We definately need to pray for her, because the Lord does not want destructive forces in her life. What do you all think? I hope there is an answer for Ruffa in this. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
