What is/was your biggest Online Dating Mistake?

The biggest mistake I have done online was foolishly expecting that a person is coming for me. I was thinking that he loved me so much and he will do his promise visiting me by the year he mentioned. It was three years back that he promised me that I was his only gf and that he planned so many things for us when we will meet. I was such a crazy girl that I believed every word he uttered as I thought he was sincere and he was asking a favor from me not to play with him. I did it with full of hopes. Though it was very seldom he communicated me I was still hoping. It took nearly two years that I was madly falling in love with him that even his text messages were written in my notebook so that I can have always something to read everytime I miss him. Years were wasted waiting for nothing. Putting his friendster single even if we were in a relationship wasn't an issue to me though I wanted to ask about that but I just left it behind. He promised to come on the month of March or April but then said again that he could not make it as he was so busy with his work. My friend told me that he must be playing. We didn't have a formal break up as it was so seldom for him to communicate with me so it appeared that our relationship was still hanging. When I gave up on our relationship I found out later that there was also a girl claiming as his gf also. Wow it was not just me. The girl asked me to be a friend on friendster and found out that question, "HOney who is this girl?" that girl was me sending a comment before to his friendster. I was asking the girl if he had arrived already as she changed her status as married with this guy but I didn't have any single reply so I just left it. The next time I opened the friendster, the girl was single and no more picture of her and the guy but another girl asked, "honey, who are they?" which she talked about me and the other girl. Wow I thought that the code honey was just ours only but not. He was in a relationship with many girls and maybe that idea COLLECT AND COLLECT AND THEN SELECT, I was one of the options then.

Edeline, you and several others have had similar stories. That is very sad. Waiting 3 years, falling in love, and hanging on to every one of his texts after he told you that you was his only one, and asking that you not play with him. That is very sad when someone will deceive you that way.
