Too much rain to cause the rivers to swell and the the landslides to happen is not good, huh? They have a lot of trouble like that in West Coast cities, and especially some that are built on hill sides, especially in Califonia.

We had lots of winds, but very little snow so we had little problem/potential for snow drifts. We now have more snow and more of a possibility of snow drifts. There were some drifts, but the school bus managed to run, and the snow removal equipment came through later this morning. Conditions were ideal for dog walking. The plowed surface make it easy walking, and most of the dangerous slippery ice was covered. I did slip a couple of times, but nothing that made falling a danger. If the wind blows now we could have some very deep snow drifts. I walked early afternoon, just after eating dinner, and the sun was out making a very pretty day. I could almost walk without gloves, but I did put them on. My face was warm until my last 2 miles of my walk, and then I pulled my scarf up on my chin where my warm breath hit the scarf keeping my face plenty warm. It was a very good walking day. The doggies didn't have much they wanted to examine, so we kept a good pace. The German pincher was off out through the deep snow having loads of fun!    :D :D

Yes, Garyjo, these are some very scenic pictures. I think there is some very beautiful scenery in the Philippines. I have ridden motor scooters and motorcycles years ago. I have not done any riding lately, although I am tempted to resurrect my old Honda 500 and do some riding. Riding in the open air has a completely different feel than being in a car. Your view is much greater and a lot better on the motorcycle. :D :D :D :D

It is a lot of fun to go home riding a motorcycle. Sad to say that last two Sundays, there was a motorcycle got accident. I believe the driver is drunk and so they fell on the ground and wounded. I try to contact my younger brother to inform the barangay for an ambulance or rescue them. I am so sad that they are not so careful. Please don't drive when you are drunk. accident is waiting.

You are correct Crisi, in that an accident is waiting to happen to people who are drunk. Years ago I would not allow our little kids to go with my uncle because he was drunk. He could hardly walk, but he thought he was fine to drive. Well on the way home he found a huge rock, ran head on into it, caused a lot of damage, but except for a little bump on the face or head no one was hurt. He had problems because of that, because he had to repair his car. Our daughter refused to allow there children to ride with my son-in-law's Dad because he was drunk. My son-in-law did not like that, and later my son-in-law and daughter were arguing about that; she said it was right to not allow the kids to go with him when he was drunk, and my son-in-law thought the kids should have been allowed to go with him. Well, because of the argument, they were distracted, and didn't notice a reduced speed zone, so they were pulled over, written a citation, and had to pay a fine. It was a bitter pill, because our daughter doesn't even want to travel on that road since!      :D :D :D

I have always found riding to be the best way to collect my thoughts and to clear my head. I hope that I never have to stop.
It has been said that you never see a Harley parked outside a therapists office.
Riding in a large pack can be tricky if there are any riders not experienced in the technique ,I`ve ridden in groups ranging from a few bikes to several hundred. One or two Jackasses can really mess things up. My club has some pretty severe penalties for being an idiot on a mandatory ride.

I am sad that the weather is not good. It rains at lunch time then this afternoon it is already sunny. I am quite having cold now. I might got fever too. I believe that rainy season is coming and I believe that farmers will be happy again since the rice field needs water.

Take care of yourself,It`s likely going to be damp for a while. Keep up your strength. Its hard to be happy when you`re sick.
I`ve heard that mangosteen is good to eat when you are coming down with a cold.

We are coming into our late spring and looking into summer which is just ahead. We have not had any really warm weather yet, to speak of. It is warmed up enough that lately we have not had to burn our pellet stove for heat in the house. There have been a few times that it was on the cool side. Yesterday we went to church, so I wore nice clothes, but not extremely nice, because I knew after church we were going to do some things that would not go well with nice clothes. The shirt I wore was very warm as I am still thinking it is winter, even though it is not, I am still in that mode. Yesterday it got 82 degrees F., or 27.7 Celcius, and I shed that shirt leaving only my tee shirt on, which is the way I dressed while I was in the Philippines. I tried wearing a light shirt and a tee shirt at first, but the remainder of my 2 weeks I just wore the tee shirt. Yes, I am sure riding is theraputic. I have ridden alone a few times, but I have never ridden out on the highway at highway speed, only in town, and between towns as about 50 mph. I have also never ridden in a group. I have dreamed about Harley riding, but that's all. My Dad owned 2 of them in their early days, but then he quit that and went with riding horses instead. He broke lots of horses to ride. He was in the cattle business, so he needed good horses and good dogs to help him with driving cattle. :D :D :D :D

Almost end of summer and school days is here again. Many things to prepare. Many things to extend help. My niece and nephews are asking me to buy to buy their school supplies. I am thankful that in any means and in simple ways I can extend help to them. I would be very happy to do so as much as I can, that is why they are one of my motivation in my life. I work hard for a reason. i just worried sometimes because when they lined up to the cashier, i wonder if they will choose the expensive notebooks and other stuff for school.      I do not hesitate to help my niece and nephews because they got honors at school. To God be the glory. But it is so nice to be with them as they sweetly ask me to buy for them. I love you, kids.
