I have just completed the Sweepstakes drawing. I decided to draw 4 names instead of 3 because I did not raise the prize amounts during the contest as I normally do, so there is one additional lucky winner. All winners will receive the same amount, which is 2000 pesos.

I`m happy to have won,and happier still that my winning will benefit someone else.What a wonderful twist on a sweepstakes. I hope people don`t stop posting now. I feel like we are just getting to know each other.

Yes, Smiley, this is addictive, and I love it. I, the same as you, hope that people will keep posting. People were pretty active long before, but it was new then, and maybe the newness wore off, then people backed off from posting, and then Sir Michael encouraged posting with the writing requirements of 30 words or more to qualify as an entry in the Sweepstakes. Hopefully people are enjoying the exchanges so that they will continue. I know of at least one other person who stated that he/she was posting to support the forum, and that is what it is. When we post, the more active we are the more we support the forum, and I hope that other people will realize that also. They really don't realize the benefits until they are pushed into participating, and I hope it will continue!

I`m still somewhat new here. When you compare the total number of posts my 124 don`t make a very big pile compared to some of you who are in the thousands.
I think that I do have a unique perspective in that I have had a very active life and have spent time not only in the Philippines but in several other interesting places in the world.
Good friends are where you find them, and life is for living.

Having that perspective is worth a lot, Smiley. I have not traveled widely. I lived in British Columbia, Canada for four years while I attended Bible College. I was to California 2 times, once when I was 4 years old, and the next time on our honeymoon to spend some time with my older sister and brother-in-law who were in Los Angeles at the time. I have been no further east than the MidWestern States. We traveled to Mississippi to visit Carol's brother and his family, and that was in 1980. I have been to the Philippines in 2010, and I dream of returning when I am able to do that. Yes life is for living, and having an active life is a blessing. Having good friends is of great value!

Yes, it is nice to see the new people jumping in here and posting. We hope that people will keep posting, and that new ones will join and post on a regular basis. Thanks to the people who keep coming, and to the new people are are starting. This is a great place to get to know each other, and to stimulate each other in our thoughts. The Bible says that we are to provoke one another to good works!
