Rotating BrOwnOut in the Philippines

I am very much distracted with the rOtating brOwnOut here in Our pLace, and sOmetimes it is bLackOut! I cant use the things that needs eLectricity. But this is nOt just happening here in Our pLace it is Occuring in the whOLe Philippines! The eLectricity sOurces tOLd the pubLic that this is due tO the eLectricity crisis due tO the Last destructiOn Of the superstOrm "OndOy".. Many peOpLe is very disgusted with this case.. They cant use the cOmputers in the Office [Barangay Hall].. Lucky fOr thOse peOpLe whO have generatOr, they can cOntinue there wOrk..

Oh well, I just hOpe that this will nOt Occur until the day Of eLectiOns, because the bad pOLiticians might use it sO that they can win in the eLectiOn.. I gOt tO finish this fast because the brOwnOut may Occur anytime.. But accOrding tO the news in the radiO, Our eLectricity sOurces will be dOing this within this mOnth OnLy.. [I just hOpe.. ]

,this situation really sucks, but we cannot blame anybody for these is due to climate disaster.
lucky us here in Samar that we are not suffering such kind of problem, but despite of that let us help one another in saving electrical energy, that's what all we can do...and hope that the rotating brownout will not last till 2010 Philippine Presidential Election comes.

We are currently experiencing El Nino in the Philippines. Water is one major source of power (electricity) in the Philippines. So since its dry season, the water is not sufficient to support. To prepare for coming months, power companies have to conserve energy and that's why rotation of blackout. I support the idea of conservation of energy that's why we don't use elctricity in the house...hahahahaha! Joke.
Actually it really has bad effects on our business...but have no choice so its good to have a stanby generator.

I am really disgusted with the rOtating brOwnOut here in Our pLace! Everyday is brOwnOut.. I can`t dO what I have tO dO.. As I Obsereved, the rOtating brOwnOut is Occuring during 2pm in the afternoon and cOme back arOund 7pm Or 8pm, sOmetimes it came back at 5pm.. Ohh! its very disgusting! Ohh well, i have nOthing tO dO than tO understand..

If the Philippines government is serious about attracting foreign investment, essential to create jobs, they need to get the basic infrastructure in place. Given the geological position of the Philippines I would have thought power plants powered by geothermal energy was the way to go to minimise use of expensive oil. (the Philippine Government may already be doing this, I am posting from a position of ignorance )

I have sO many things tO dO yesterday but it was pOstpOmed due tO the rOtating brOwnOut, the City is aLsO cOnsider in the brOwnOut.. BusinesspersOns are very disgusted because Of this, they have difficuLties in running there business cause there is nO aircOn and peOpLe want tO be refresh too.. Our city is very nOisy because Of the generatOr.. A friend tOLd me that this is because Of the Energy Crisis. MOst Of the sOurces Of energy here in MindanaO is cOming frOm the faLLs, and since LuzOn is experiencing EL Niño that cOnnects here in MindanaO , there is a crisis Of energy pOwer..

Don't be patient, complain to your local representative or the Government will do nothing (being a cynic I expect the Government will do nothing anyway!). The Government must realise people are not happy. Apart from personal inconvenience it must impact on foreign investment in the Philippines if electricity supplies are not guaranteed.

Whilst on Negros I was lucky to tour the Hawaiian Philippine Sugar Cane Mill. Unlike some mills they use the Bagasse (fibrous waste left over after sugar juice extracted from the cane) to power their own electricity generating plant. This is a great carbon neutral source of power that does not add to global warming. I was told they only use 45% of their Bagasse. This is just one mill. There must be thousands of tonnes of Bagasse on Negros available as 'free' fuel.

Why are there no public electricty generating plants on Negros using the waste Bagasse from the mills. Why use expensive imported diesel fuel to add to generating capacity. The Philippine Government needs to show leadership in this matter.

Ohh well. We have nothing to do anyway, Mr. Chas. The government has also nthing to do with this situation. Many people, especially the businesspersons had already complained but nothing happened.. I think all we can do is to pray that there would be a rain for us to supply sufficient electricty..
