So far this summer has been pretty warm. We have been into the 90`s almost every day for weeks now. Just had torrential downpours the last 3 days. That usually cools it down but not this time. The storms damaged a lot of crops in the areawith a prolonged hail episode.Hailstones about the size of ping-pong balls. If this keeps up much longer we can expect a tornado or two.

This spring and summer so far we have had more rain than normal, and it has also been colder than normal. Before I walked yesterday I opened all the windows in the house, but before very long I closed them all as it was getting cold. It is fairly warm today, but not like it normally is for July! :D :D :D :D

I know what you mean, Smiley. I just closed the windows to keep the heat out. It feels like it is already heading our way! It was pretty warm yesterday, and then it cooled off late in the day, which is what it has been doing for a while now. For what I am doing I hate to think about hot weather, but I will survive! :D :D :D :D

Hey, Smiley, you jinxed us by what you said! No, I'm just kidding, but it is hot today!! Down in my cellar where I am working it is still cool though and in the shade as well. Come late this afternoon the sun will be shinning in one side of it, and then I will probably move to the other side to work. I'm no dummy! Well, I don't know about that. They say some people don't have sense enough to come in out of the rain, well I hope I have sense enough to move out of the sun!

Yesterday we hit 108. too hot for physical work outdoors, even for me and I love the heat. Problem is, we also had 100% humidity. Clothes on the line would not dry under such conditions.
Just too hot.

When I was in the Philippines in 2010 they washed the clothes by hand, then hung them out, but after all day they still were not dry, and it was hot! They brought them in the house and hung them to finish drying. Years ago Carol lived in Arizona for a while, and she said they would hang the clothes and then immediately take them down and they were dry. It didn't take any time at all as their humidity was so low! This was our hottest day so far, but it did not get that hot or even near it! I was digging in the cellar where it was actually cool most of the day, because I am digging it deep! I would have to measure it to tell you exactly how deep so that I would not lie to you. I am 6 feet tall, and standing on a bench about 4 or so feet off the ground, it is still several feet above my head to the ceiling! :D :D :D :D

Crisi, I am sorry about your worry about the potential flooding from raining. You have had recent bad times because of that, and it makes a person worry. :( :(

Yesterday at 6 p.m. after it had cooled off it was 38.8 Celcius, or 102 Fereheight. It was hotter earlier, and I don't even know how hot it was as I didn't see the temperature.

It was hot all night, and I slept without covers which is unusual for me, but not when it is as hot as it is now! My hand kept feeling all night due to my rest on Sunday, so that was pleasant, but I must go back to work, digging in my cellar, and then I will lose feeling again, but one of these days I will be finished with my digging, and then I will be resting and playing the piano again, for a while anyway.

We had an impressive and scarey lightening storm last night. It scared my outside doggie, and made him whine and cry, but he settled shortly. He didn't like the storm! But it didn't cool things off at all! :D :D :D :D
