He was your boyfriend not your husband so it was his right to break off if he wanted. Should have tried to do it in an easy way. But maybe there is no easy way. Now if he decides he wants back with you that is your decision. You observe him like any man you meet. Is he quality---honest, trustworthy, capable etc ? Do not take him because of your past history, take him only if there is bright future.
