its depends on both sides..if they were agree that they are not on the same religion..but i think it doesnt really matter,as long as they both love each other.does your partner is not the same of your belief?

I think religion is important to be honest. You have to contend with both being of a different religion (if there even is one) and what about the children? How will they be raised? Under what beliefs? Will you let them decide for themselves? How can kids decide on something they don't know because they were never brought up on it? What if they want to be Atheist? How will that affect the parents who may believe that dying outside of grace is condemnation? It's not a matter of only loving the other and overlooking something as important as the belief system and you can let children decide such a thing when they were never brought up on either and actually allowed to be little "atheists" until they make their own choice. A set belief is most important. That is the family bond. When all have that same belief, they can all relate and they can all grow spiritually together.

As long as her religion is based on the fact that Jesus is Lord then i can deal with it.

I have seen successful marriages between individuals with different beliefs. As long as each can compromise and understand the others religious needs there is no reason why it cannot work out. The children must be allowed to see both faiths and ultimately must make up their own minds. Negative pressure is more likely to come from less understanding relatives. Ultimately if the marriage is strong, if your partner is your best friend, if you enjoy each others company, then there are not many difficulties you cannot overcome together.

Look on the brightside. Two services, two receptions. Two cakes!!! Two honeymoons????

I prefer to worhsip and love ONE God and I don't compromise on beliefs. Every faith/religion has a policy against this. Either you are in it 100% or you aren't. No half-stepping. THose are fence-walkers and Lukewarm people. No religion tolerates the indecisive or religiously compromising person.

Religion is believe....believe is: yes I do believe because I don't know facts.
But also all those people who say: " I don't believe ", on many occasions they call the name of God.
Religion is important because it is useful. It gives THE moral teaching that we need, children as like as adults.
To follow Christian religion can never be wrong but is always good. The big problem is that in practice, except the saints, nobody and nothing follows the teaching of religion. Bigger animals eat the smaller, big trees prevent the smallers from access to sunlight, better educated people enjoy avantage over poorly educated and so forth. That is our world.

Wow, what a difficult question! Many marriages i can see that are successful although they have different beliefs. For me, as long as that person is a christian, and believe in God Almighty, i would prefer him to be my lifetime partner. If the other is meant for me as what God will give me, then i believe, there is a reason for that. For me, to make the relationship grow is to be a give and take relationship. Respect and love must be given and shown to your partner. As a christian, i believe that it is better to have the same belief so that life together with your partner will be smooth and easily be patch up if conflict arise :P .
Nothing can separate us from the love of God
