Merry Christmas

Postby Smiley » Mon Dec 24, 2012 8:26 pm

It is now about 10am Christmas Day in the Philippines so I guess it is time to send this ;)

Merry Christmas and much love to you all. I hope that there is something in this magical day to bring us all a feeling of love ,peace and contentment.May this gift strengthen us for a long time to come.
I`m not going to preach about the arrival of Christ,we all know the story and I think some quiet reflection and gratitude are in order on that subject but perhaps each one of us could pursue that at our own pace without any prodding from me.
Instead this message is to each one of us and those around us.Let this season be our catalyst to be more thoughtful towards those around us,we are all given the opportunity to do good, sometimes we miss our chance.
I guess my Christmas wish is to not miss my chance.

A very merry Christmas to you all.

Merry Christmas to all. I hope that you all enjoy being together with your relatives.

So tiring since a lot of things to prepare at home... Many cousins and relatives at mama's side and papa's side.

Also, my mother gave relief clothes to native people in the barrio.

Also my sis Hazel and kids were there. We have a lot of fun.... :D :D :D :D :D

Crisi, that sounds like a great and wonderful Christmas you had with visiting your relatives, and your mother giving relief clothing to people in the barrios, and that was very nice! Even fun times can be tiring, and that gives you many wonderful memories after it is all over with! Here it is about 10:30 p.m. December 25th, still Christmas here, but I think where you are Smiley, it is already December 26th because of the time zone difference. In the Philippines it is 2:30 p.m. December 26th, so it is now Chirstmas past, and looking forward to Christmas in 2013! :D :D

Looking back upon our Christmas holiday celebrations they were good. We went to town on a Sunday late afternoon, walking out of here before dark, and we got down to our youngest daughter's house early evening to have a good time. We had a good time with our daughter, her 2 daughters, and friends from California, Mom and Dad, and baby James, just beginning to walk! We opened a few presents, and ate as much as we needed to, or maybe a slight bit more. One thing that helped is that we ate very little except for one large meal each day! We normally don't eat that way, but it was okay for a change. We were in town while it was storming up here where we live. Scooby's fence completely was buried in drifted snow, but he waited until he saw us coming to walk out of his yard. When he got to the County road, he ran back and forth on the road as hard as he could run. I think he was just so thrilled to see us! We were glad to see him as well, then I dug the snow away from his fence. His light bulb had burned out, so I replaced that, and now he has light and heat again. He was okay though. Christmas was fun, and now we just have happy memories from a wonderful time spent with our kids! :D :D
