about those "99 secrets..." .......... although some of the "secrets" are true... many are only generally true (ie. true about some, but not all, men)... and some of the "secrets" aren't true at all....... i think "seekingmyasawa" did a pretty good job of correcting some of the inaccuracies... except, of course, most men aren't actually "stupid"... the only thing we are sometimes "stupid" about is women... because SOMETIMES (no matter how hard we try) we're just not able to understand a woman's thoughts and feelings... anyway, i'd recommend that women not rely on using the "99 secrets.." as a guide to understanding men or male behavior.... if you really want to better understand men, i'd recommend reading a book called: "FOR WOMEN ONLY... what you need to know about the inner lives of men"... by shaunti feldhahn...

i agree with you cris ... the best way to know someone is to observe and listen to them, and spend a lot of time with them... books like: "FOR MEN ONLY... a straightforward guide to the inner lives of women", "FOR WOMEN ONLY... what you need to know about the inner lives of men" and "THE 5 LOVE LANGUAGES" are nothing more than useful "tools" to help us understand and know one another better.... i think the knowledge and wisdom in those books is meant to help people better understand the inner meanings of what they are observing when their husband or wife says or does things they don't understand... the premise being that men and women oftentimes think and feel differently, and that those differences can result in misunderstandings and disagreements and arguments and hurt feelings and wounded hearts... (and books like these are written to help minimize the misunderstandings)... i think any human being who never ever misunderstands or feels frustrated by the "opposite sex"(i prefer to use the term "complementary sex") is an amazing and unique person.... but, i think most of us need all the help we can get... first from the Lord... but also from other people who have knowledge, wisdom and experience to share...
